Such an approach might at best be adopted in companies like Google or perhaps during competitions, The rest of the corporate companies are filled with managements who would never admit to the individual superiority of one of their employee over others.
True wealth always has and always will be the preserve of the elite, For the same reason it does not matter who makes the most money from these resources. It can be The 'elected' Afghan Government, The Western Contractors, or The Taliban. The Afghani common man will hardly have a reason to rejoice over the news. In the today's globalized world, possessing such mineral resources is hardly related to the country's overall development or prosperity.
The country's cause would be served much better, if they can find a source of good Governance. The form of government that suits the country is subject to debate, and for me Democracy has not been the answer for every society's and culture's need for government.
Looking from a regional perspective, in countries like China, Iran, Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Oligarchy is the preferred style of government. And i really would not mind the principles or the religion of the country's rulers as long as the common man is benefited.
Billions of dollars of extra cash in the economy can in no way benefit people in a civil war situation. Rather Afghanistan could really use a great leader from among its people, someone who can guide them on a path of growth and stability.
We all are discussing the pro and cons of Vista's DRAM policy The high system requirements are generally lamented and MS is faulted for wanting a mountain when a mole-hill would have done.
These hardware requirements may be bad for us the end consumers, but it is i think a cleverly thought out paradigm change that the brains at MS have tried to accomplish.
You see the talk of the town is no more about an impending Google OS, or the latest online app, rather the talks tend to be focused more on subject like is your PC capable of handling vista?, did you see the HD video in the media center?, the interface of aero is really good looking, my Vista Ultimate has video wallpapers etc.
Hence the general user is discussing these frills if you can call them so, and in the process they are re-focusing their idea of computing back to a desktop windows based model and suddenly Google with its colored boxes for design and the slow AJAX for technology is not as shiny anymore
If google wants you to login to see your contacts, Ms wants you to see them in your sidebar. If youtube wants you to see compressed flash videos, Ms wants you to get addicted to HD-Video by showing off color/tint reference images in HD. If you miss serials or movies on TV why watch them online bent over in your chair, rather watch them after recording them with a remote in your hand.
And suddenly the internet is not where computing begins and ends.
The root of creative's problem are not on-board sound as reported here, It is more to do with the assembly-lining of music production and lack of any major breakthrough in sound reproduction technologies.
Go through a list of todays famous musicians and you will find that their music lacks any dynamic range to speak off, dynamic range is a measurement of the difference between the lowest and the highest sounds in record, and when you listen to high dynamic range track at a low volume you invariably should miss out on some parts, but that is a rarity now because today music is compressed and dynamic range made low to serve you through the day anywhere and everywhere, at your desired volume levels.
Consequently music sounds almost the same whether its heard from an x-fi or realtek onboard and most people find no reason to pay extra bucks for a separate card especially not with the speakers people use these days which are based on technology of the 1900's, also given that speakers have 'evolved' into tiny, dingy sounding boxes. The days of the "Sound Card " entry in computer purchase bills are numbered
The previous posters were right in pointing out the confrontational
policy of the US, and the elitist nature of its
"New American Century" Doctrine
But the things that any rational strategist/planner would envision would
be more realistic and based on the ground scenario, it would include:
# The place of the US in the new multi-polar global order
# Find causes to justify its military spending in view of
the future conflict scenarios
# Give up the fantasy of World-Domination, because in the new century
a psychopath with a gun is able to cause more apparent fear than
a mechanized industrial army
# Whether they want some new economic muscle behind their proposed
arming up or they want to produce more weapons and think they are
a superpower a-la the Soviets
# In this age of free knowledge decide whether their Plant-The-Flags
approach to war is going to be viable
For all those who think indians are fit for backoffice jobs
Find out the percentage of indians in NASA who are scientists
Im from bangalore and the social standing of these BPO workers is not very great they are seen as losers except may be by their own parents
Everything is not rosy in a BPO job,, ive seen many who got Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Mentally disturbed, Chain Smoke, Discontinue Studies, become obese etc a by-product of the Late-Night life and Stressful job
There goes my 10 year old dream patent, for synthesizing and playing sounds in silent cars.
