    If that were true, wouldnt you see more people in prison for life appealing for death instead of the other way around? If it was not a punishment these DR inmates would not be wasting money and time on appeal after appeal (unless you are mistakenly believing that EVERYONE on DR is innocent)

    You seem to have overlooked the simpler and obvious explanation: that people wish to continue living.

    I dropped my S5 in the Pearl River last month. Took about 10 minutes to fish out it again (was damned lucky to get it back at all, really). Still works like a charm. YMMV but that'll do nicely for me.

    If he's not a native speaker, he certainly covers it well to fool me--I'm a native English speaker with about 2 decades experience as a writer/editor in that language, and I'd be happy to interview him for a job my team is looking to fill.

    Perhaps, in your mind, "moron" means "someone whose sentences are long enough that I actually have to think about what they mean"?

    That's my theory, at any rate.

    It's not like smoke and fumes make you unconscious immediately.

    If it was just fumes and they were odourless or nearly so, then it's quite conceivable that the pilots could have been incapacitated before they could react, particularly if their attention was occupied with something else already.

    I think some folks might have their outlook changed were they to visit another country where the majority are of a different race than their own.

    I've spent a fair amount of time in China. Most folks there don't seem to have a problem with me being white/foreign. But I do occasionally run into someone whose dislike of me based on those criteria is obvious. It's an eye-opener, to say the least.
