    Heh. At first glance, I misread the title as "Amazon Products buy .TLD For $4.6 Million" and then quickly realised my mistake--but now I think ICANN should sell the .tld TLD to me. :)

    Oh sure, a lot of people on /. would like to see MS crater; but be careful what you wish for. Do you really want AAPL to be the A no. 1 tech company for EVERYTHING, including your workstation?

    Microsoft have no connection whatsoever to my workstation or what I run on it. Now explain to me how their demise is going to change that.

    .... If even ONE person did it, it is not a failure. The fact that thousand of self-motivated, self-paced individuals take advantage of world-class education systems, all for free-- it's by definition a success.

    Most people want their thinking and learning done for them. There is no magic cure for this, alas.

    Yes, but that happened in Mediaeval French when une norenge got misspelt as une orenge, well before the word passed into English (and similarly into Dutch, as oranje). By comparison, Spanish and Hungarian have naranja and narancs, respectively.
