I remember playing against OS/2 chess program (I play crap), and it worked fine while I was losing, but when I managed to get into a winning situation the program crashed.
I agree. No card will seem as impressive as going from the software renderer to Voodoo 2. After that I went to GF2 and GF4Ti and Voodoo 2 is still the most impressive jump.
This should be obvious to anyone that has seen the show. The shows was made 10 years after trek, but the effects look like they from 10 years before trek.
>it's purely visual customization
Things are even worse if it isn't.
I'd take Wing Commander (or Freelancer) style mouse based control over joystick anytime.
The typical way of simulating the joystick in space sims is not so good (as you say it causes mousepad-too-small problem)
My way of getting rid of cheats (q3a): /callvote insta_weapon 0
works every time.
What is it about chess programs and crashing.

I guess it didn't take defeat well.
Changing the tab size from the default 8 is a very bad idea. Using spaces is preferable.
the people with photographic memory.
Imagine I someone had a brain memory enhancing implant (probably not too unlikely in the future).
Food diversity is overrated. All we need is green biscuits.
Why would it be funny?
If you are going to make a 3D desktop, that would be the most intutitive (= well known) interface.
I agree that it could be useful.
But I'd need it to be really fast. Like 85FPS or so.
Also, if you are making another tetris clone, please for god's sake make the pieces rotate in the right way.
check out CL 6000 or 10000 (I have one)
the fan on 10000 was quite loud until I used a resistor

And the last names in the list were Kirk, Spock, and other trek crew. I guess all the redshirts must go first.
Maybe, but the last episode invokes Godwin's Law for me.
And destroy all copies of Enterprise and Voyager, at least.
Some might like a water cooled one :)
these boards are incompatible with todays best CPUs
But in a running car even classic covox (sp) would server a good enough purpose.
To Williams and McLaren budgets you need to add BWM and Mercedes engine budgets probably on order of 50-100M at least.
Actually, a good driver in the best car wins all the time.
75% car 10% pit strategy 10% driver 5% luck
more or less
It also costs $10000 if you fail to put the wheel back in the car.
This one is better: http://www.avaruusmies.com/jokes/images/135.html
The tendency of recent linux distros to bloat is very bad.
All I need is dosbox and vtrek.exe
(somebody make a linux clone of vtrek, please)
