Same here. I played many 15 minute sessions of Doom 3.

It took me about a year to finish it, and the expansion pack is still unfinished.

As opposed to HL2 which I finished in 2 weekends (it get's boring really quickly when you get the gravity gun) and then forgot about it.

Serious Sam (the first one, not the poor sequel), is a good 'sequel' to Doom.

I also like Painkiller as a Quake 'sequel'.

    Yes, Elite ruled.

If not elite, maybe least Wing Commander.

    Doom/Quake
    Civ/Alpha Centauri/Railroad Tycoon
    Diablo 2

Also, Day of the Tentacle was nice.

The same thing happened in Star Trek TNG.

IMO, they should have cancelled it after 'The Best of Both Worlds, Part 1'.

And then wait 5 or 10 years.

    Agreed.

IMO, SG-1 was ripe for cancelling at the Wormhole Xtreme episode,
but the "merge with Farscape" made a big improvement.

    It's not odd.

AMD will now have to drop prices, and why would AMD cpus suck today if they have ruled yesterday. They are just a good deal, especialy since new Intel CPUs (and even more, their
