They only have get out of jail free cards because the people pick their representatives, and they pick corruption and incompetence. I don't see fault with the system, but with the people participating in the system.
It's stupidly easy to define "republic". It means there's representation of the people in government. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no implied meaning beyond that, like "elected" representation, or "appointed" representation. Recently Egypt was a republic, Rome was a republic, the US is a republic.
That constitution you're talking about doesn't cover speeding laws, or anything related to speeding laws, and thus that right is given to the states. The acts you describe are clear violations of rights of people, and are thus protected via the Supremacy Clause and the states must abide and not torture prisoners.
That's because it doesn't apply. Notice that it's always state and local cops that write speeding tickets, and not federal cops...
You need to use local laws to get out of speeding tickets, not federal ones. If the cop is required to be trained every 6 months by state law, then you ask if he's been trained within that period. But that has nothing to do with the US Constitution, barring the provision where these rights are given to the states.
No, they're saying 300 DPI on a 10.1" display, not 300DPI @ 1440p. It's literally the title of every post in this thread, and you failed to see it.
It's also not a useless metric since Apple decided to advertise their brand new 300DPI screen for the iPhone 4. They're making the comparison that's been out there as a benchmark for clarity as set by another company. They're just saying their chip can do it on a 10.1" screen.
Not really that it's worse now than it used to be. Now we have pixel perfect collision detection available in every 2d game due to processing power increases, or polygon-perfect in the case of 3d games.
Pretty much the only people is bites for are people who are in the high end enthusiast market and don't research their board, and want to run Crossfire/SLI. IF they're not running Crossfire/SLI, there's going to be quite a few PCIe lanes open anyways, even with 4 (a rather large number) going to a SATA chipset.
When you've got a blade that's double as thick, you don't need to it be sharp for it to break other peoples' blades into shattered pieces.

Yet, they can only do it for a couple years until their career is over, while an electrical engineer can do it for a lifetime.
The dollars will disappear when there's nothing protecting the lands and peoples that create the value behind them.
No, we need to make them pay taxes on their real income rather than their reported salary.
Bush was far worse when it came to abuses of the spirit of the constitution.
I don't give my name out when I pay cash, which is everywhere. In fact, that's a fucking anonymous transaction by any standard.
We vote on the representatives. Hence, democratic republic, as the US is frequently called.

The constitution grants democratic rights to the people. It's not really a stretch to call it a democracy.
Put it this way: If the USA isn't a democracy, then there is no democracy in the world.
Yet Wawa uses touch screens, and it is definitely well-received.
Did...did you even look at the price before you started typing...????
The vast majority (if not all) are officially licensed and use the Monopoly name and Mr. Moneybags.

You'll know that the cell phone is moving when you see a picture of the inside of the kid's pocket.

The size of the screen is used in conjunction with the DPI, not the raw resolution.

I've seen people do the flowers trick before a few times. Collision detection is much different now than it used to be.
I don't think many of the people using Ubuntu or other OSS are going to give permission for a package manager to snoop and send back this information.
Only if a deity lit the fire.
More like profit theory, to be honest. It's a cost they don't want to pay, because that cost would mean less profit.

First, you could just unlock the doors, shut off the lights, and walk away. This option is free!
Someone has to be paid to go do so, and Obama can't pay anyone because of said budgetary restrictions.
