I drive a standard car and the thing that drives me insane is people who ride the damn brake. If you watch while driving in traffic, you'll see one idiot tap the brake, then another person will tap there, and eventually you'll be stopped in traffic for no reason at all.

Recently I drove my brothers car which is automatic because of bad weather. now please understand, I have driven a standard car for the past 5 years and haven't even driven an auto once in that whole time. My experience was terrible! I can not believe how difficult it is to control your speed without tapping the brake. Yes large volumes of traffic will create a traffic jam, but most of the times if traffic moves I don't really care. It's when people RIDE the brake is when the real shit happens.

If everyone drove standard I suspect it would still be an issue, but it wouldn't be as severe. So remember everyone! DON'T RIDE THE BRAKE! Or tailgate !

I had an older style hdtv I picked up about 4 years ago. So I got the ps3 a few weeks back, hooked it up and was really not impressed with the ps3(no upscaling which really screwed me). Then gran turismo came out, i downloaded it, again. Bleh, not impressed at all.

So, today I decided to pick the Sony SXRD 50" LCD Projection TV, and after hours of dealing with boxing day lines I finally got it home, unpacked and set up (many hours later).

All I have to say is WOW! Gran Turismo looks amazing, I can really tell the difference now. At first I thought PGR3 looked better but now it's a totally different story. And when it comes to 1080p at first I was not a believer, but from what I've seen so far that's changed significantly. Damn, it's been mind boggling, hell even Rainbow 6 for the 360 looks way better.

So that got me thinking, the ps3 isn't so bad if you have a new tv, it's only bad when you have older style tv's(dont' like that personally) but now I'm not so pissed at the ps3(I like the 360 controller better though :)

And Gran Turismo is free and it does have a few things to do even if it's the same track over and over again..

Personally Im' not going to refresh my HD set for quite sometime, and if your willing to shell out 600USD for a gaming console I'm quite sure you already have an HD set and will be in a similar situation.

I agree 100% PS3 will be sold out for quite sometime and we'll be in the 360 shortage that was experienced last year. But everyone is commenting that PS3 is really the only next gen system. But what REALLY makes it any different than the 360? Ok, it may have some unproven and really interesting components(cell, blu-ray) but that doesn't mean it's next gen. I actually believe next gen really is HD and of course Wii controller which has changed the way you interact with the console. I do have a 360 and viewing all games on a large high def HDTV is really pleasant and actually breathed new life into my projection HDTV.

I've only seen a 1080p TV in a super high end audio/video store. And they didn't even have anything that could drive 1080p at the time. "HD-DVD sales are in the toilet, while Sony has been stockpiling hundreds of thousands of BluRay drives to launch in a couple million PS3s in November"

so they're stockpiling hundreds of thousands of bluray drives to launch a couple million PS3's. Anybody else see what's wrong with this statement? what about the other 1.5million PS3's that will supposedly be ready?
