A quick report on Center for Food Safety:

I have little doubt that Monsanto may be up to some business practices that are less than ethical, but groups that like to fear monger about GM crops annoy me.
I've not put Metasploit on mine, but I can't see why it's not possible. Here are some of the things I ave installed: Nmap Zethereal Ettercap Ngrep TCPDump Kismet Nmap THC-Hydra Nemessis
I was talking to a lady named Erica working the Visionary Entertainment Studios booth while at Gencon. The topic was "Con Funk" , I thought there should be an awareness ribbon for it so I made one. I present to you the first prototype of Ribbonthulhu:

Seems to me like they got their terminology a bit off. Shouldn't the guy be called a Pen-tester or part of a Tiger team. A sniffer is what the guy used, not what he is.
Yes, like most people in any sort of political argument. :) Just reread your original post and think how it comes off.
Lovely, accuse someone of an ad hominem, than lay the race card. "Social Science" major?
Ah, yes. Reiser, It's a killer filesystem.
I have you beat, I use ROT26.
Calling this guy a hacker is a wee bit of an overstatement. Here is a video reconstruction of what he did: http://www.irongeek.com/i.php?page=videos/how-sarah-palin-email-got-hacked Not really a "Hack", just using the password recovery process.
Actually, only 1/3 insecure sounds like a great improvement over just a few years ago.

You are correct sir. My bad.
You mean it's not Dolomite?

All on a Zaurus 5500 and for a lot cheaper than the asking price of this new toy.

Oh, by the way. These seem to be Lynn's exact slides as photographed by the people at DC13: http://164.106.251.250/docs/netsec/defcon13/7-27-0 5.zip
Looks like he mostly just added funny images and took off ISS' name.
There is a nice mirror of the presentations at: http://164.106.251.250/docs/netsec/defcon13/ For those that want to see the slides.
I think he is referring to Lt. Bob Lozito of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department's Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force comment in this article:

""They're unsophisticated but reliable, and it's illegal to possess them," said Lozito of the Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force."

I was able to get the one from http://cryptome.org/lynn-cisco.zip with wget, but it took about 10 min.
I found this linked on Nick84's site (http://www.rootsecure.net/): http://www.infowarrior.org/users/rforno/lynn-cisco .pdf
If I'm correct, it's the slides that were taken off of the hand out cd.
