I really miss the old settings of the pre FFVII games. Bring back the epic tales of knights and castles, and leave the dull Blade Runner-esque cities to lesser games, I say.
A lot of the site doesn't work right (I just tried downloading two.torrents and got a nice 404 for each of them), but it's good that it's making progress to come back online. Hopefully it won't be too long before they're back to normal. Whether that's in Sweden or another country doesn't really matter too much for the average user, but I hope it's Sweden if only for pride.
I'll start by saying that I'm a huge fan of Last.fm, and have been for years. I'm addicted to the place, and my music collection would be nothing without it. While Last.fm does have a feature where artists are automatically recommended to you, I rarely use it. It's the social aspect of Last.fm that sets it apart. The best way of getting recommendations is just simply asking for them.
I've used Pandora a few times before, and was always disappointed with what it recomended. Results are mixed to say the least—it clearly works better for some types of music than others—and some of the recommendations can be, quite frankly, laughable.
AVG Free Edition is by far the best anti-virus program I've used, and I've used most of the leading brands. As for anti-spyware, we've still got Ad-aware and Spybot S&D. And the same goes for firewalls.
Meh.
How many of the people spreading anti-Microsoft FUD will actually be affected by this? Now don't get me wrong, I dislike Microsoft as much as the next sane person, but c'mon, even I know when it gets frivolous.
GameFAQs doesn't mention a European release.. Say it isn't so. I've read so much about the Dragon Force series, and I want to see what the big deal is for myself.
I've tried numerous CD ripping programs (although none of the ones featured in that article), and Exact Audio Copy is by far the best one I've used. It even gets around some forms of copy-protection thanks to its error correcting feature. It takes longer to rip a CD than most other programs, but the quality is unmatched. Add freedb lookup and automatically configured LAME encoding (once you download the encoder itself) and you've got the best CD ripper in the market. Oh, and it's completely free.
100 million pirates can't be wrong.
Not if they sue everyone else out of the game before that.
I think this is ludicrous. How can they get away with it? What next? Will they make guitars illegal because they allow people to play copyrighted songs?
When I used to play guitar, I used tabs to help me learn songs that I had already bought. The same applies to lyrics. No matter how hard I think about this, I still can't see how tablature/lyrics would ever negatively affect the sales of music.
"Hey, did you check out that band's new song?" "No, I learned it on guitar and sing it myself instead." "Bad-ASS!"
It depends on the item. Some weapons with perfect mods can sell for several hundred thousand. And what does level have to do with it? I was referring to the Fissure of Woe armour..
That isn't the only thing of value. A lot of people don't even touch the PvP part of the game. Instead, they want gold to buy the more expensive armour or the best weapons for their Roleplaying characters. This is what gold is used for.
The opportunity for such a system to be exploited and misused is too great. At least with centralised servers, you can authenticate users more easily. With a peer-to-peer system, dynamic IP addresses and no clear way of authenticating users could lead to spoofing.

You can't remove spyware from a computer by throwing a chair at it.
It's no longer "the worst bill [I've] never heard of" :O

wasn't gamesradar once owned by MSN?
I like this new colour scheme. Please keep it :[
Google will probably do this for free before long.

First Opera, now AOL..
Pretty soon there'll be a "Google in Talks Over Microsoft Merger" headline.

That's what I mean. I don't think anyone does it in pure gold after 100k.. not that I know of.
