Google has had this for a while now. I had noticed that development has been healthy recently. whereas before it was a relatively unnecessary tool, now it's actually useful.
if it's as useful as Google Sitemaps, then I'm happy with today's news. the protocol does look pretty similar (and by pretty similar, I mean the XML structure is virtually identical). I'm guessing porting Google Sitemaps over to this new one will be painless.
I don't think the PS3 will be as disastrous as some people are saying. One thing is sure: it won't enjoy anywhere close to the massive runaway success that the PS2 enjoyed, but it will still be the market leader for the next generation at least.
Besides, Sony have made way more messups recently than just the PS3. Surely those are to blame for the stock slide as well?
or when a server bans the sale of certain weapons, such as the AWP, which is banned on half of all the CS:S servers currently running. this only made me laugh.
it's basic business. product lifecycles are virtually all the same. launch, rise, saturation and decline. right now ipod reaching saturation, and it will go into decline sooner or later. that said, it is still very profitable for Apple, and the brand is still stupidly strong. it will most likely stay like that for a few more years at least.
that happens more often than you might think. sometimes the flicker of light that a sniper rifle lens reflects is the only thing you can see, and therefore the only thing an enemy sniper can aim for.
I haven't read the article true/. stylee, but I'm going to go ahead and assume it's about using code checkers to check code is valid. I use W3's markup and css validation services for this purpose. If I get a problem (or even if I don't), as a first step, I run the code through their validation services.
the meta description tag can be very useful. it's the tag that search engines use to show the little blurb below the page's title on their results pages. e.g.
Slashdot (title)
Source for technology related news with a heavy slant towards Linux and Open Source issues. (description)
the keywords tag is useless though -- and that's probably what you meant, I just wanted to clarify that for anyone reading your post.
correct. the only major meta tag that the main search engines use is the Description, which it shows on the results pages, below the page's title. there are others, like the robots tag, that have limited uses. the keywords tag is pretty much useless, and in fact, if used incorrectly, can actually harm a website's ranking.
this bill is nothing more than some politicians trying to show concerned parents that they have a purpose, when in fact they're about as useless as keywords;)
A common misconception is that website accessibility only benefits blind people. Accessible, semantically-structured websites are good for many things, most notably Search Engine Optimisation and cutting down on bandwidth. How's that for financial benefit?
AniDisable is available from the author's website, and is apparently compatible with versions 0.9 - 1.5, although I've not personally confirmed this.
FlashBlock is also available on the Mozilla Add-ons site, and is apparently compatible with versions 1.41 - 1.6. Again, I haven't personally tried this extension, but I've seen no comments that lead me to believe that it isn't compatible with the latest final version of Firefox.
Tab Mix Plus is also available on the Mozilla Add-ons site, and is apparently compatible with versions 1.0 - 1.6. Once again, I haven't personally tried this extension.
2. Incremental search? Do you mean "Find As You Type?" If so, this isn't exactly a new feature, and it can easily be disabled in the Options menu (Advanced tab).
3. As for this so-called "Nullplugin" thing — I have no idea what you're on about. It's not a problem I've come accross. Tried uninstalling Firefox, removing your userdata (remember to back up your bookmarks!) and then installing the latest version?
Won't people just buy the songs from iTunes, knowing that they'll get them from Microsoft for free? That way they'll have two versions for the price of one.
Let me just get one thing off my chest: I am obsessed with Silent Hill. And more specifically, Silent Hill composer, sound designer and now producer: Akira Yamaoka. I have been in love with the games for years, ever since I first played the original on the PS1. The main reason — but I stress, not the only reason — for that is the music and sound. Akira Yamaoka has made four truly wonderful soundtracks that make Silent Hill what it is. Try playing Silent Hill with no sound, I guarantee you that it will be much less scary.

Do not shake.

now when I want to know my IP address, I can get a free threatening message with it! awesome.

this is news?

it hasn't been updated to reflect the news. yet.
Good things come to those who wait. HL2 was definitely worth the long wait.
but that would clog the internet tubes! D:

we'll move to Opera ;)
Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad2

haha, you really do learn something every day.
tell me, what does furby mean?
actually, don't tell me.
*shudder*

WordPress is a very competent open source CMS.
actually those links are for what type of search you're doing (images, shopping, etc.), so it's logical that they're above the search box.

In China, 6 - 4 = 5.
