This is one book that I couldn't see Hollywood doing justice to. The trailer doesn't really leave me feeling any better about it. Lots of nice effects, but I think it's going to come out all bubble-gum.

But to start a project without any notion of a deadline is a sure fire way to never release anything. I believe that projects like this require a "happy medium".
Come up with a list of features to implement, estimate those features (and those features only), design, implement, test, release with re-assessments (and iterations) happening throughout the entire life-cycle of the project, adjusting estimates as necessary.
At some point the companies need to publish a release date to the public. That should be somewhere near the end of the project, assuming the re-assessments warrant it.

Perhaps the gaming had nothing to do with the divorce. People do get divorced for lots of other reasons. Some people just don't belong together and realize it too late.
He did mention that this was before the MMOGs hit so big.
You do have to admit that his seeing his kids via webcam is better than not seeing them at all. At least he's still involved.
I definitely think that the comment was taken out of context. Just check out the other stories on The Other Side. Doesn't sound like a site that reports the most accurate aspect of its news stories.
