Yes, there are indeed people passionate about Microsoft products. I live in Seattle. You just kinda roll your eyes when you hear them talking, but I imagine that's how it always is for people on the other side of the fence.
Even at Microsoft itself, a lot of people aren't zealots. A bunch of them dislike/bash/hate/use the software as much as everyone else, but then again I think its cause I work with the IT guys and not the programmers.
Why does Slashdot let articles through like this? The submitter managed to put so much personal opinion in the 1st paragraph, its a wonder I just don't start reading fox news for unbiased, fair and balanced headlines....

When I was a kid my parents didn't put up with this behaviour. Playing too much video games? Cut power to my room! Harsh? I hardly think so. I blame a lot of this kind of trash on pussy foot parents.
Parents have to be involved with kids. You can't raise a good kid though this bullshit of purely peace, love and happiness and "non aggression". Not to be confused with hitting children. Parents can't just let kids get away with things and think pills or avoidence will solve it.
In other news a private christian school decides to use open source software instead of microsoft software.

In total truth my old linux/unix teacher has been running a slackware 7.0 web/telnet server on the internet for the class. Slackware 7 came out in 99...and it still is running today.
Well since they both can't be unequivocally proved, I don't see a problem with this.... Well the only problem is that the board didn't think about how much bandwidth on slashdot would be wasted over another ID vs Evo "shit a brick fest".
You mean to tell me scientists were wrong in their assumptions, calculations, theory's? Well at least they had the guts to tell us about it. I know some people act like science is a religion and not as well...science. It can be wrong and it changes as we learn.
