And some times they get sick of haters (such as yourself) making shit up (see you previous posting) to justify their hatred of all things Apple, so they speak out. Hardly a case of thinking their phone is divine, just people sick and tired of listening to whining haters lie their ass off to justify their anger.

I'm not saying Apple is perfect, but your comments just reek of someone who is looking for a reason to justify their hate of Apple. You're more than willing to forgive anyone else's defects, but not Apple, oh no. How hypocritical.

Neither is significant testing necessary on that code change, so why does it take several weeks? The answer is they are trying to fix the issue via antenna reception software algorithm and it's going to take a few weeks to make changes, test, tweak changes, test, etc.

I'm an Apple fan, but this statement does not align with the known issues. I would prefer they admit a problem and fix it via software than lie about a problem and fix it via software, but as long as they fix it then I guess that's the desired outcome. Still, this has given them a big PR black eye and it's going to take time to recover from that beating.

The iPod has been wildly successful despite all the iPod killers. The iPhone has been wildly successful despite all the iPhone killers (seems everyone knows this is the top dog and why they're trying to kill it in the first place). If you picked one narrow customer demographic then you could probably make a general argument that one is better than the other, but as a whole each has strengths and weaknesses with their current business model. I don't see Apple flailing at all. I see them spending a lot of effort developing the original iPhone concept, only to see everyone copy them when it came out, and now they are not going to stand by and let others poach for free. They learned their lesson from MS in the 80's. Time will tell how this will all shake out, but as an Apple fan I don't expect them to trounce everyone (nor do I necessarily want it for competitive reasons) and I think the Apple haters are foolish in thinking this is going to sink Apple.
