Windows 2000 doesn't have as much security as XP for one. And the only time I do use Windows is to play games because Linux as of yet does not have many major game creators. And I don't like Intel either;). I use a duel-core amd and 2gigs of Corsair XMS Speed Series ram. Which goes to a whole subject all togather... If you want to be more productive when you are working it tends to help to have a fast computer to process all the information or render a 3d object. It is a major time saver.
Not sure why they are patenting something as trivial as an underline or box around text. So if this goes through mabey they will patent something else like Papers inside the box of software products or the english language perhaps. Just wondering if I understand what is going on:\ .
Yes well what about linux then? It is definately a upgrade that is affordable if you have the time. And if you get the right Linux it will run on any machine just about and has more security for sure.
It isn't all that expensive anymore just to get an upgrade to Windows XP and volia problem solved, well for w2k anyways. And w2k is way out of date by computer standards. In about 3 months stuff is out of date in computer standards so 5 years?!?!?! A much better upgrade would be just go with Linux. More security all around.
Yes that does seem to work in some cases... I have always used Legal verions of windows cause I have never wanted to deal with any of the problems like that but there are and always will be those who don't really care, don't have the money, are board and want something to do, and will use illegal verions of anything they can get their hands on. But I was mainly talking about Games... security on games is a waste of time and money because most of the people play games seem to want to hack them anyways in some way or another. Things like Operating systems though I do agree that it is not a waste of time and money, they should try to add more security to operating systems and whatever else but games is a totally different catagory.
I've probably used Logitech products since I started buying my own speakers, mince, and keyboards. They have good products and have always worked well for me. I got the MX1000, the first real laser mouse not one of the opticals that use a light, and love it! The mouse is awsome for gaming and everything else so if they can make a normal mouse that is good for gaming then something that is made specificaly for gaming MUST be good.
It may look good but what about gameplay? Whats the point in playing a game that looks good but leaves you with nothing to do but shoot people. A good rpg like NexusTK which (yes the graphics suck) but has many people who play it and is constantly changing with events that affect the whole world of Nexus will always beat a game that has good graphics but nothing for you to really get into.
All the security that they put on games is a waste of time and money... if people want to copy a game they are going to find a way to do so, nothing has stoped them so far.
People who like to keep the bleeding edge technology (weather is it useful or not) like to have the newest... bigest... badest hardware out there.
There are people who would laugh at us though and say we are paying to much for just a computer:S.
These people oviously do not understand anything about computing and gaming though it may be a bit pricy it is like a hobby.
Those of us who buy computer parts all the time are no different then those who buy Warhammer Pieces which cost a fortune. If you don't know what this is no worries a link is here.

No clue where you live but around where I like it seems everyone has a modded xbox. Guess I just live in a hacker zone or something.

It would appear that you can put linux on just about everything now days, from a flash rom to xbox to computer.
