you'll run across hundreds of teachers who simply don't want to re-learn how to use a word-processor It's ironic: teachers don't want to learn. I'm not sure it's true though.
Windows is perfect at work.. 5-10 minutes of bonus-breaks during the day is really nice:) This is one of the best "it's a feature not a bug" comments I've heard.
So if I were extending a baseball bat from a car window and didn't intend to hit a mailbox (or person), it shouldn't be a crime? What about getting on a plane and the laptop uses a cell phone signal.
(I'm trying to be funny so please don't take this too seriously)
I don't have time to teach you how to be a parent. It can be negative consequences not just 'positive choices', just not physically threatening or depriving of nourishment, you are in control. Look up a parenting book, or ask someone you know. Sheesh.
The question was rhetorical. Coal is probably the biggest in the US. My point was that it's most likely a fossil fuel of some sort (excepting Iceland with their geothermal resources).
Reporting the card stolen takes care of the problem immediately. If you are close to your limit a company charging you without your permission could add to overlimit fees. If someone took a snapshot of your credit card, it's stolen regardless whether you have the physical card or not. In effect they have stolen your card and it's not being dishonest. And this way if the company messes up again you won't have to waste your time fixing it (unless your time is worthless, mine isn't).
about your cell phone comment (I just want to show an opposing viewpoint):
how fast things change, 15 years ago nobody had one and behold, we did live and not worse than we do now My car broke down and I was without a cell phone 10 years ago. I'd say that was "worse than what we do now". Now I carry a cell phone with me especially in a car (and before anyone goes there, I don't talk and drive).
The problem is that usually it's the bull that's cloned because he has fathered goos dairy cows and only for the purpose of breeding. So the dairy cow isn't technically cloned. Now would the milk be labeled coned?
I think labels are a good thing; consumers can educate themselves if they want to and they have all the relevant info available.
I think having food labeled whether it's genetically modified is also helpful.
I'm always looking for food that has been obtained using fair trade practices. I also look for food that has been obtained using sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
My only choices now are to go to the local organic/natural food store and internet stores, not only for food but for environmentally friendly household products (and others).
I don't use Windows though. I know about workarounds and I know about the "happy hacking" keyboard that comes with the control button in the right spot, I use that keyboard for the Linux box. And I got used the command button on the MacBook.
I'm not sure it's true though.
Yes but sharing music = ?
I'm not disputing your point but your analogy.

You spend years before this happened to gain their respect.

Exactly. Making aluminum is energy intensive. Where does that energy come from?
There are consequences, just not physical threatening.
Children are what you make them.
If you're a good parent, you shouldn't have to resort to abusing them with the examples you provided.

So can one just change the expiration date?
Another option is to report your card stolen (which isn't far from the truth) and get a new account number.
I was being sarcastic. I thought it was obvious but I should have clarified.
Yeah that's why teachers get paid so much.
The link you provide points to a website that want to run a script to see if I have MS Office 2007 installed before it would show me anything.
No thanks.
It looks great, too bad I can't buy Samsung anymore since their Linux deal with Microsoft (http://yro.slashdot.org/yro/07/04/20/1440218.shtm l).
Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
You're right. I'm relatively new to this and I'll take your advice.

All the following is IMHO.

It's still an annoyance. Grrr!
I think the caps lock key is one.
It takes valuable space on the keyboard and rarely gets used.
I like the old control key there instead.
