They prove themselves to be in no way better than Microsoft with mob like tactics. (Hmm, you want to make motherboards for the Athlon? YOu have a nice business, would me a shame if something would happen to it).
Behringer makes some cheap and good mixers. I am going to buy a Behringer 1602, which handles 8 channels stereo, which costs about $ 250 here in the Netherlands. For your applications a simpler one (and thus cheaper one) would be sufficient.
.. these kind of tools, like bo2k have the potential to harm windows 2k very much.. to wipe it out of the marketplace.. to even destroy microsoft.. that would be terrible! That would be tragic!
I really like my palm III because it doesnt have too much features. The machines that have many features do so at a cost. Not only is the price very high, while I got my palm iii for $ 150 in the Netherlands, battery live suffers, and you are stuck with an OS that severely sucks, namely windows CE. My palm does what I want it to do, it has replaced my paper agenda, it allows me to carry a lot of tools and information in one compact package, and it even does email and www via IR with my Ericsson SH 888. Now that is cool. Reading slashdot in the train, completely wireless..
I think the beheaviour of these Linux Zealots is quite childish, on the other hand: why publish this? What if we would publish all the BS that was posted on slashdot by Microsoft fanatics? I think it's equally childish to publish the abuse.
Ah, SLS, that brings back memories. It was my first Linux distribution, with I believe the 0.95 kernel. It worked well. Then I tried slackware, which always installed, when I could not get the early debian and redhat distributions to install. But it was harder to upgrade. And then I switched to redhat, which I really like. I still would like to try suse and debian. But there are so many thing I want to try, like freebsd, netbsd, openbsd, solaris, beos,.. and so little time..
Come on, I still think Intel CPU's are inferior to ultrasparc. alpha and ppc. (I own a Sparc machine and an Alpha machine). So no, I do not buy an NT box like everyone else. I like Linux on Alpha and Sparc. I simply prefer Unix to NT, and I think I am not alone in that. I do not own an sgi machine (yet), but I do have an old machine with MIPS RISC CPU, a Digital Decstation. (I collect computers..) And I admit, I do have an x86 machine, but that one has an AMD CPU.
I like the SGI logo... it seems to fit with their using of lesser CPU's (Intel instead of MIPS RISC) and inferior operating systems (NT instead of Irix).
Yes, I do like wearing suits, preferably three piece, with a tie. Am I now an untergeek? (I do own 18 computers... but fail at installing openbsd on my decstation).
IMHO, they already crippled the machine by putting an Intel processor in it, instead of a descent one. (Anything! MIPS R 10000, G3, Ultrasparc, Alpha).

Ik own both an Atari ST and an Amiga 1000. both are gems of my collection. (Although I have always been more of an Amiga fan),

Microsoft products really make me want to hurt, kill and mutilate people.
I sometimes do feel the urge to go rioting at MS HQ.
