    Ugh sorry abbout themangked apostrephes, why is skashdot the only site that has problems with them (the only site I use anyway)? If i get significant downtime hat is the isps fault, I get half the suoscriotion fir thst month creditid on nex months bill (they call it the allways online guarentie, and no crappy isp sanctioned router, the fiber modem (more of a media converter raly) hands of an ethernet port beond tnat any other network equipment is up to the costumer (thdy inckude ther own router, but the one they sent me has stayed in its box

    That seems rather pricy my current ISP sells 250Mbps/250Mbps ftth for arround USD 92/mounth (NOK 749) no tv pakage requiered beond the first year (you get the install free if you sign a yeats contract for internet +basic tv) finaly something beond health care and edu where norway is cheaper than the us. This is an un mearered connectin and they donâ(TM)t (to my knwolege) do any throttling. I hope to us gets better and cheaper internet as time goes by, you need somerhing to need happy about, and DCdoes not seeam to provide much hope for that. This post was nor meant as braging just as a point of comparison. Have a nice day

    Hmm I did not know that IOS had an inel ISA, I though Apple had an ARM lisemce, are we talking about some kind of emulation here? Leaving that to one side, how. many PC games ar compatibel with touch input and can run on the Ipad/iphones amarativly weak hw? This was not meant to be sarcastick or funny, the rest of this post however...

    You are right, but rgere are far more intel costumers thst care about performance than gamers and wideo editors, SaAS providers, metreologists, intel sells to other costumers than consumers. i would imagine rhat googlebwould not be thrilled if the 1000s of servers they run in a Dc dropped even 1% in performance, that would potenttionsly mean 100s of extra servers to do the same amount of work wit extra switchports power an cooling, not cheap

    But you did not own the software before either, you owned a license that granted you the right to use it, but if you did not need it any more you could not re sell it to someone else. But tes, your right to use it did not expire as soon as you stopped paying

    Hmm i thougt airports, and probably aircarft manufacturers had specaliced tugs for aircraft, why is the ability of a Model X to tow an aircraft (ge it a rather large one even interesting?
    Had the title been KJFK changenges to electric aircraft tugs, that might have been more interestng. Just out of curiosety . am I right in thinking (from the summary) that the model X might be a bit over poevered for it's main usage, whow heavy is the 787 again (I guess this was withot cargo and/or pasangers)?

    Notakkways about overcharging for food/drink inside, if people try t bring in alcohol, get too intoxicated and there is a spot check there might be fines / issues with the figure licence (at least in Norway, we have rather strict rules)

    Software never dies, but back-end systems get shut down for many reasons rendering front ends none functional, IIRC Napster relied on central servers.

    IRC has that, it’s called hyperlinks to whatever you want( its up to the client to implement tho) , I will admit that IRC lacks ( at last most networks) a server side chat history but thst is a limitation that will dissapeer if enugh users wantit I think. Bonus irc client are svalable on all platform, there are even quite capable web front ends. But why did i post this on slashdot? Most of the users here allready know about IRC.

The UK will still have acees ro Galileo Os (hurisontal accuracy down to 1m ) Amd any cometcial service that chises to sell to uk residents/buismesses, what you thy might lose access to Is PRS (the signals used for emergency services that include fault detection and reporting)
