Unless Tony Stark designs builds and pays for it I doubt that it will ever happen. I'd like to see research into artificially bypassing damaged nerves though. I could imagine someone figuring out how to perform all the various grips using the guys real hand. He could have like an API for all the muscles they wired up.
Not really, don't get me wrong, I think a shoot first policy isn't necessarily wrong, but it's not self defense unless you yourself (as opposed to your stuff) are directly threatened.
I'm replying far too late for anyone to give a toss but, I think you're missing my point. In a perfect world a solar cell would be a "black body", and a huge percentage of all energy it absorbed would eventually get converted to heat. A roof is not a black body, and so a certain percenage of the energy that hits it is reflected back into space. Real world cells aren't black bodies of course, but I'd imagine solar panels would still increase the energy absorbtion of the earth.
That scene where he use a piece off the bike to bypass the security on a door to the building (shudder). Any normal door in that reality should have said, f**k off you're a motorbike. I nearly puked as well when "vulnerability" flashed up on Arnie's HUD after he noticed that Tinman had a heart.
I like this system and I think the technology is there to implement it now. However I also fully expect the first several generations of the system to be littered with bugs and vulnerabilities. Off the top of my head I would imaging it's possible to spoof the gps signals. None of that would matter though until the system was in wider use I suppose.
Facebook and IM etc should be banned from any lecture hall. On the other hand I've seen lectures that were recorded on a laptop and later distributed in eletronic format with syncornized slides, and I have to admit it was almost as good and in some ways better (play pause etc) than being at the actual lecture. This wouldn't apply for people who just have to interrupt every few minutes with silly questions though. I'm sure there are other more relevant and common uses that would also be acceptable to most as well, so a blanket ban on laptops would seem heavy handed.
Doubtful, I'm not a thrill seeker but I suspect that after a while Earth would get a bit boring. I'd eventually just snap and join a space program, or since I can live forever start my own one.

Mr Syouef, I see from your facebook page that you've done fanny f**k all of note in the last 5 years....
You could be right, they should perform some sort of proof of concept before they send them anywhere I reckon.

But if you get robbed you could just smash the window yourself, oh wait...
We know that we can travel faster, but the cost of such speed is not offset by an equal reward.
+1 if i had any mod points
I doubt lettuce is going to bring them back from the brink of starvation anyway.
The problem is the limits of the laws of physics, not the limits of a technology that utilizes them.
a bottom?
Can't be good for the retinas? Second link was busted but the first link is very light (ahem) on details

But maybe he shouldn't have snaped his f**king fingers eh?
There's no net effect on the universe, but the earth isn't a closed system so total light absorption of the earth has to be considered for example.
Must be the wine, I can't believe I posted about Salvation instead of ranting about the third one.

The only flaw in the backend was the one v_ware was left with after the reaming EA gave him.

Bit of a retorical question there. You should probably conduct a survey, and ask all the lifers if they'd prefer to be dead.
Assuming the "mission" is wake me up in the morning, everyone I know excluding my parents uses a phone.

We could build a green house on the Moon though, and then a big rail gun to shoot lettuce back towards Earth.
