I too find it ironic that an Executive who was facing replacement by automation, consults an automated therapist "bot." I wonder how that replaced therapist fells about that...
"on the internet" matters when it's an issue of Bob lying to sell a widget on Amazon. If Bob was in a store selling widgets, the fraud is clear. If Bob is effectively anonymous and Amazon is the seller, with Bob's referral code, once the product arrives and the fraud is detected, taking action against Bob is almost impossible.
It's not about "legal" but "enforceable". They are different, but related.
Not necessarily true. I had an issue with a seller that failed to deliver the product I paid for. I contacted Amazon and they made it right.
Political Advertisements are not examples of "Free Speech." The FEC wants the same accountability and disclosure from Facebook that is already required for Political Ads on other mediums (i.e. TV, Radio, et al)
A Facebook user's post is "Free Speech" and is not in the crosshairs of regulators.
Hmm... not just you but it appears that Amazon now wants to corner the market on amateur pr0n live streams. It'll be an Amazon Prime Add-On ( like their $6.99/mo. Anime Strike channel.)
Amazon truly wants be the King of Online Entertainment Content.
NPR's All Things Considered produced a story that drew a correlation between IT People jumping from Job to Job in Silicon Valley as the catalyst for the California Companies to become the leading Tech Center -versus- the stifling of raw talent by strict anti-competitive laws in New Jersey.
You forget, Congress is full of elitists who didn't follow many of the Employment Laws and regulations (Equal Opportunity Employment, Affirmative Action, OSHA, etc) until it required itself in 1994.
So, it only stands to reason that one of their ilk, regardless of Party affiliation, would evoke her 4th Amendment rights while gleefully trampling on ours.
If you RTFA, you will see that the Police forced their way into the apartment after the suspect's girlfriend would not let them in with-out a warrant. the police did not get a search warrant to enter the residence to... “because they did not want to reveal information [to a judge] about the technology they used to track the cell phone signal,” the appellate judges note.
Also from TFA: Authorities opted not to get a warrant either for the use of the Stingray or the search of the apartment, simply because they didn’t want to tell the judge what they were using to locate the suspect...
They are Corporate shills. They will not reform copyright law to benefit the public, but to benefit their Corporate masters that finance their campaigns.
There was once an image link posted on/. that showed clearly that you had to send $0.25 to RIAA if you resold that album. Every time a CD, LP, 8-Track or Cassette is sold, or resold, RIAA demands payment.
I use Windows 7 at work and Ubuntu 10.04 at home. Windows 7 GUI reminds a lot of Gnome, especially the file browser (AKA Windows Explorer.) If I could find a way to run the Bourne Again Shell in Win 7. I'd be set!!
More from the article: "The research is likely to trigger scientific challenges and cause some controversy because it places far more complex life in an environment where researchers have generally held it should not, or even cannot, exist."
I thought they stopped saying that after finding life in the Challenger Deep section of The Mariana Trench.
They are complaining about Google to deflect the blame or owning up to their deficiencies. It was not all that long ago that/. reported that Facebook was teaming up with Micro$oft to go against Google. So Google is their ideal candidate to blame.
On April 21, 1996, Nunziata was expelled from the Liberal caucus after he voted against the government's budget in protest over the government breaking a promise to rescind the Goods and Services Tax.
Despite the difficulties of winning a seat as an independent, Nunziata ran and won re-election in the 1997 general election without the support of any party. He defeated Toronto councillor Judy Sgro by 4,431 votes to retain his riding, and so became the only independent member elected to the new parliament.
In the 2000 election, he was defeated by Liberal Alan Tonks.
Sounds to me he wasn't fired from his job as an MP by the wacko Chretien.
On October 18, 2006, the Ontario members of the Conservative caucus voted to suspend Turner for what they claimed were violations of caucus confidentiality as published in his weblog. Within hours, Turner was dismissed from the Conservative Party caucus, and ultimately from the Conservative Party of Canada, by edict of the party's political leadership. The Conservative Party never furnished evidence of Turner's alleged breaches of confidentiality, while Turner argued Prime Minister Stephen Harper could not tolerate an independent-minded MP within his caucus.
Sounds to me like he wasn't fired as an MP by the wacko Harper but just like with Nunziata you Canadians rather vote for someone that is Major Party Affiliate instead of an Independent thinker that truly listens to the voters. So the constituents, i.e. you, fired them both!
It is truly sad that the voters up there are as sheeple as the American Voters down here.
The recent IMSLP outage was due to an attack by the Music Publishers Association (UK). While IMSLP encourages open discussion of copyright issues, we have zero tolerance for underhanded tactics. To MPA's credit, they have voluntarily retracted their claim. IMSLP will also be working on technical measures to prevent any future attacks.

There is ongoing Medical Study that seems to indicate that interruptions can spark and/or sharpen creativity.
Crunchyroll and Funimation are sharing a lot of titles with each other that were once exclusive to one or the other.

This is a two-fold disregard of the constitution.

Guess I ought to Google it....
When has a Corporate Special Interest Group ever told the complete truth?
That must have been a gold plated DVD for its theft to be considered as a felony.

How did this post a level lower than it was intended?....

He'll have to go through Collin Baker first.
... and it continues forward with the Motorola Karma.
