That should be reason enough for Apple not caring too much about people trying to use this box as a computer. with 256MB soldered to the mainboard, it's like a testdrive for a Mini or iMac. unless they're selling it at a loss.
Sorry, but the new SD cards are 4GB. Devices that max out at 2GB don't even see that the card exists.
according to TFM my Creative Labs Muvo C100 is limited to 256MB cards. I must be a really lucky guy since I have it working flawlessly with 512 and 1024MB cards for more than a year now.
Ideally, webmail providers would get together with the folks who impliment these sorts of features, and make some sort of easy way to generate a one time use password that can only be used by an IP assigned to the domain that is supposed to use it
Either that or all of them could support import/export contacts in CSV or whatever so that the user does not need to allow an invisible/untraceable transaction with his/her passwword.
People who really like these printer-friendly versions might like to make other websites "reader-friendly" by using re-pagination to have TFA load all at once instead of having 5 separate pages.
You can raise back the H1B quota back to 120,000 from the present 65,000 like it was till 2000. But unless Mr Gates offers domestic servants, he is not going to get that many applicants from India.
So this means that the raise in immigrant quota is meant to get the mexican housemaids required by indian IT workers. If Gates reads this, the american geeks will be in trouble:-/
That goes both ways. DIY PCs don't come with circusware that takes hours to remove to get a sane Windows installation. And if you want Linux instead of Windows you'll need some time to install from CD/DVD anyway.
You have experience in dealing with customers, you know how IT things work. Those 2 are valued for people who work in sales. In many cases you'll be managing your own time, allowing to further develop your "light coding" into whatever you decide is adequate for your future, including going to college in part time.
Job offers in sales tend not to focus that much on college diplomas, but more in your ability to make your point and in your previous experience. There are plenty of alternatives you can explore and by the time you are 30, if you're good enough and have a track record to show, folks won't be asking about your college studies anymore.
A similar experiment I tried was running the whole of Win3.11 from RAMdrive. Too bad I could not fit more applications in there as well because it was really interesting and quick:)
VMware and Parallels aren't bound by such licenses but how much development effort should they allocate to creating a product that end users are not allowed to use?
that would be assuming that you're exchanging one evil for the other, which you know it's not true. the media cartels *will* carry on with their mafia tactics even if they get their CD/ipod levy.
I'd image such people at least somewhat competent when using a computer. Many non-technical computer users don't even know what Vista is, let alone that it has been released, and thus wouldn't be updating their systems so quickly.
In my country this product launch has been on the news as a major breakthrough for the OS that the majority of computers use. The shiny boxes, the improved UI looks, the variety of versions... it all helps creating a certain feel that Vista is a fashionable product. And that's reason enough to queue to get it on the first day at 00h00...
On OS X you can set "simon says" or anything you please as the trigger for the computer to accept what is said next as a voice command. "Beeatch" and "arrr!" are popular choices.
The problem is not merely including software extras with windows, it's the way they're made mandatory and favoured over 3rd party alternatives. the EU got a different build of Windows when requested MS to remove Media Player, that shouldn't have to happen.
On a Mac, if you drag Safari to the trash bin it will not drag the Help system with it...
with their DRM removed, at a price of $1.29/1.29/£0.99. .

no, taxpayers' money will not be used to solve MAFIAA members' problems. forget it. end of discussion.

Porn, pron, p0rn and pr0n should be enough tags for everyone.
i personaly like this one, i only hope it's not just a metaphor...
are you sure screenshots are legal these days?
Chuck Norris is the right man for that job.

We made this interesting and useful HDD test which we made public however it lacks some details as it's still in Beta.

haha!
perhaps he's already writing a book about this episode and earning a lot of money without risking his life on some crude flight technology?
