Humm, then you could run a log analyzer on it, and have a nicely formated html output of the day. Never forget a URL again.
Best part you can filter out those nasty ads, and speed up your surfing.

Isnt GAIMs name based off AIM's name? Same as KICQ (KDE ICQ) is using ICQ's name.
This does not sound unreasonable, requesting that you not use thier name. (IMHO)
I have ordered both Cable and Phone service over the phone, they did not read me the written agreement before placing my service. This is the same as the EULA agreement about agreeing with the EULA after you open the box.
Also the arguments about 5800 as too much, i think its too little. Her time is worth more than 500 bux for hours of lousy on-hold music.
Anthony Smith, a senior manager of TVA's computer system, said the inspector general's office first detected the SETI programs on TVA computers, and managers made sure all were deleted.
The use of the SETI program on 17 TVA computers presented "some kind of risk," Smith said.
snip..
But SETI uses a high level of protective encryption, he found, so there was "a relatively low risk" to TVA.
Still, he said, the incident prompted managers to conduct a massive computer security awareness campaign.
Very freaking trival matter. They just found out about SETI@HOME over a year on some production boxes? If security was thier main concern, why didn't they use network security management software?
There seems to be alot of personal Crusades by management on very trival matters. With companies understaffed and overworked, Some Senior Mangement opens his mouth and makes lame ass policy that has no bearing on the subject.
Security means more than banning some software to look like your on the ball. (Your not). How about getting off your fat ass, and fix your damn firewalls with decent ACLS, patch your damn DNS servers, and proxy your Internet connections.

Ive been reading articles about teachers, police officers, ambulance drivers and other public workers living in missions in California. The rent is too high for these lower income jobs, that people are sleeping in thier cars, staying at missions.
Here in Washington State we offer Police Officers in Cali, houses (with local credit union bank loans) and moving expenses to move up here, and live in our smaller cities where they need trained police. Works great, better or same pay and they can now own a house, and afford to have a family.
I havnt been worried about dot com'ers ive been worried about all those people who make the cities run on a daily basis, not being able to ame ends meet. Sounds like a total collapse waiting to happen.
You can easliy fine tune the OS/Hardware and software for maximum performance that can give altered results. Things like BIOS wait states, HardDrive IO settings, Memory allocation, 266/133/100 bus speed, etc.. Example, I can double my memory speed by enableing 4way bank interleave, or Speed up my IO with hdparm settings. Anyone remember the big Linux vs. NT done by Mindcraft? The linux box wasnt even tuned on the first benchmark tests.
IMHO, I think a list of hardware, bios settings, and hardware and software tuning parameters are required in benchmarking results.
Stupid reasons, cache the page, and email the owner of the site with a directions on how to remove the site.
Maybe take PNG or Jpeg pictures of the page, then you are not using thier html code. (-;
The tribes2 engine sucks on anything but GF2 (non mx versions) video cards. WickedGL came out with new opengl drivers for 3dfx cards, and we are finally able to play on our video cards. (Sorry Windows Only)
Tribes2 may have the looks and gameplay, but it has the worst video card support, and highest hardware requirements.
Alot of installers dont want you to know whats going on behind the scenes. They want to install time limited keys, so you get nagged about purchasing the products. If you could just rm the key, you basically bypass the time limit. This is where hacking 101 comes in, trussing a file, then using lsof and logging all files. Plus not to mention what files it alters, what about ports it opens?
You should always play around with the application on a non-production machine before you go live.
BTW, TripWire will catalog your entire system, and let you know if any new files are added or altered. Very good method for security also.
Evoltion Mailer is no exchange compatible. The whole point is a product to replace outlook exchange client, and still connect to the exchange server. IF I wanted an alternative groupware, I could use star office.
Yup. And then you have no profits, so they can just take your product. Thanks for the all the hardwork Fellas!

I think Version numbers, and other informational data should be kept in. Too much information is better than no information.

Good point, they should charge for the spare cpu cycles. Goverment should be looking for every way to save/make money.

But it does have a network connection, mount a filesystem! (-;
Windows
1. Asus Digital VCR
2. Cyberlink PowerVCR II - My favorite.
3. ATI Raedon Digital VCR
Some Unix ones I found.
1. WebVCR - needs Video4Linux
2. vcr - needs Video4Linux
3. FFMpeg - Comes with a software vcr
Do you have to use a leased line for this to work? Or could you possibly use this over a standard phone line?

Bunch of freaking lemmings!
You can download HP Openmail from the HP website.
But there is no Exchange Client clone, thats what a freeware unix office clone needs!

And where is the Exchange clone for linux? Yup, there is none. I wonder if m$ would kill any company who even tried...
