Mambots are actually things inside of Mambo, to show pictures, and do other features, without having to code and what not...
Mambo is the content management system itself...
Another impressive thing... is that Mambo is so clean and efficient code-wise...
I've had my site/. a few times, and each time my server has had no problems keeping up with the traffic... very impressive for an open source content management server... able to handle high-traffic sites with ease...
Amazing what sites powered by Linux can do... all for FREE...
I could care less WHAT they call it, as long as they keep providing such high-quality software as this... for FREE...
By the way, if I was to do a shameless plug, I would say go to my websites, and click on the Google Ads... but that would just be wrong:)
I love all the features of Mambo, letting you create users so easily, having registered areas that only members can access. Check out http://www.entertainmentwatch.com/ and click on the games, and you can see how it says registered users only, then register an account and see how you can play games after logging in.
I'm sure everyone already knows the great features of Mambo, just so glad this is out there, for those of us who don't know web design, and have no clue about design.
I hope this name change keeps spreading the popularity with time, as Mambo is a wonderful program.
He should have been smart, added Google Ads to his site in a hurry... and made sure that everyone visiting his site clicked on one of those ads...
PROFIT
If the site you retrieve the game from, offers it freely in the form of a Mambo Component, that is placed on your website, and every time someone plays that game on your site, one of the first things they see is the website that brought them the game.... not a thing wrong with that...
Stealing? Nope...
Free advertising for the site giving it away free? YEP
Wow, first post... I feel totally special...
*Bows to the audience*
Everyone, enjoy the free games on my fiance's site... unlike Fuddruckers, she isn't being a bandwith whore...:)
This is amazing, a major company such as Fuddruckers, with countless hits per day, linking like this to a site, without even notifying the site to verify if they have the bandwidth available, much less if the permission is there for them to use this site in the manner they are using it, to pretty much increase traffic to their site.
Fuddrucker's site is currently off-line as we speak, so am assuming that they caught this effort to stop the hotlinking, and are currently redesigning their website, looking for someone else's nice work to steal while they are at it I presume.
And to think, I almost went to Fuddruckers today to have a bite to eat with my fiance... here I am almost contributing to their ongoing misuse of net resources... shame on me...
I better double check my site, to make sure that nobody out there hotlinks to it... don't want to see my bandwidth eaten up like this...
At least my fiance's website, http://www.entertainmentwatch.com/ is set up so that you have to register to enjoy all the games... yet she actually has some pretty fun games. Battleships, Pacman, Tetris, and more... but she has them hosted on her server at least, so not using up precious bandwidth.
Fuddruckers, take notice of this practice... such a hard concept... of downloading the game and HOSTING IT YOURSELF... versus stealing other's bandwidth...
I wonder if in a court of law, that Fuddruckers could be sued to reclaim all that lost bandwidth that was used by this hotlinking campaign of theirs...
Oh well, just my two cents on the matter:)
Well, it is just something I am playing around with, not like it actually brings in any business right now... but it could in the future...
I'm more then happy to take suggestions on best color scheme for my site...
Any mambo templates you suggest? I am all ears!:)
I'm sorry my grammar skills are so horrible.
Please visit my website, and make sure I didn't mess up anymore...

I probably have tons of grammar mistakes... feel free to point those out to me as well.
Thanks! Grammar Nazi I am forever indebted to you!
I wonder what the surface composition on these hills is?
I know it has taken a long time to climb up to the top. Is this because the surface of Mars is slippery and the rover slides down as it tries to come up, or is the surface hard enough for an easy ascent?
It looks like from the picture as if it is a mix of sandy type surface and some hard.
Yeah, better to go slow, and assess the stability of where they are located, then go fast and face the possibility of tipping the rover over.
"I've fallen and can't get up" takes on a whole new meaning from Mars.
Very vivid pictures nonetheless, I wonder what megapixel rating the digital cameras inside these rovers are rated at. I assume very high, considering the extreme cost of each rover.
The imagery that is coming back from the Mar's missions has been truly amazing. Very detailed pictures documenting this foreign landscape.
I noticed this took 14 months to climb to the top of this summit. What is the average speed these martian rovers are crawling at?
I was wondering the same thing, yet from some quick research on the web, saw that an OC4 is pretty much a major backhaul that would be used between cities for instance.
I haven't heard about an OC-4 before, but then again, I don't work in the data center business, I just work for the government.
Well, I can understand having fiber to his location... yet fiber still needs a repeater every so often, to keep the signal going...
I wonder where his connection is coming from, that his fiber or whatever he is using, still has power, when everything else in the surrounding area is down at this time.
I would call this a SUPERB datacenter, able to withstand a Category Hurricane, Flooding, Lawlessness, and everything else, and still keeps going.
Donny, if you are reading this, please give us a background of your data center setup, such as connection types and what not.
Just curious, where is the power for his net connection coming from? He has an OC4 up and running... yet nobody else has phone service or internet service...
I understand he has generator power... what I do not understand is what is powering the data lines running to his location... are they all on major generators also?

I built my website, http://www.nerdsystems.com/ in an hour with it and created my fiance's website in a little over two hours, at http://www.entertainmentwatch.com/

Wow, that is really slow... Are they running this slow... to conserve batteries? Or are they just not designed to move at any rate of speed?

Modding is nothing new... Modding a mac is nothing new... Snore... On to the next story :)
