I expect the FBI, CIA, drones, black helicopters, KGB, PITA, the police (not the pop group), and all the other agencies to track my every move and show up at my door any second now.

On a more serious note, if google or any other search engine was to do this it is a huge slippery slope. I hope that google or whoever would be held accountable for any harm done. If they did report it and some crime was stopped, google (or whoever) would be reaping the rewards of that act. They should be held accountable for any harm as well. Hopefully this is not going to happen. If it does I could see 5th grade little Johnny having his home raided due to looking up how to make a guillotine. He wanted to make a 4 inch by 5 inch working model for his class project.

Well unions keep crappy teachers teaching. That is a bad thing.

And no child left behind actually hurt students. Instead of having them repeat a grade since they didn't learn anything (the reasons for that aside for the moment) that student was sent to the next grade unpaired for that grade. That process keeps on repeating. This is from over 300 teachers. They were not allowed to fail a student. No NCLB is bad.

The reasons for a student not learning can be that student does not care. In those cases either have them repeat the grade so they are away from their friends, or boot them from the school. Repeating a grade can embarrass a student. That might actually make them do the work.

There is something about pulling out a 45 revolver that makes the person trying to rob you back the off really fast.

Hand guns are for close range. Where you can see the "whites of their eyes" range. Also, most rifles and shotguns are not so good in close quarters. If you are in your narrow hallway and there is someone trying to rob or kill you in your own home, which would you rather have? Besides most hand guns have more rounds then a rifle or shotgun. We citizens are not supposed to have the assault rifles that can have large clips of rounds.

Personally, if someone wants a hand gun for "self defense" or to protect their home (same thing to me). They should have to get a .45. If you can not handle a .45, then you should not get a hand gun. A .45 has good stopping power. The .45 itself can be imitating. It has been around a long time. It is simpler (much like the .38 and other revolvers) to clean and keep in good working order then the semi automatics. Yes it can kill. If you are shooting someone who breaks into your house, are you going to shoot them in the foot and ask them to wait there while you call the police? Or are you going to shoot them until they are no longer a threat then call the police. That is if you have not already called the police.

ps. I do not own a gun. I know i would use it if the situation came up. For me a baseball bat works well.

Are you installing XP 64 bit? It looks like you are not. Some people have a need to put 4GB or more of RAM in the computer to work with the huge images files, video files, and other huge files. If you don't that is fine. Some people want to use the faster CPUs that are out. To use the newer CPU they need to use a the newer motherboard. That motherboard may not even have XP drivers. Or those drivers are buggy as hell since the motherboard manufacture thinks people are not using XP that much. There are reasons to switch. You just do not have any.

Even when I used P3s, I did have 512MB or maxed the motherboard out. XP ran a lot better then with 128MB. If you can find the RAM try it. You might just see XP running faster.

Of course having to explain to them a motherboard upgrade due to a motherboard failure is a pain, but doable. Telling them the old one blew its capacitors did help a bit. If people took responsibility for their own actions, the person who lead a high fat/high cholesterol lifestyle should have planned for an early death. He/she took out insurance policies and saved money for their family to use when then kicked the bucket. Planing for the future should also have been taught to the family. That person's kids should have planned on not relaying on their parent who is heading towards an early grave. I don't mean the kids when they are 1-17 years of age. But at 18 those kids should have enough common sense that mommie or daddy is doing something wrong and is not going to live forever. They better plan for that.

Instead we have a society where many expect others to provide for them. That is a problem. Case in point: the US department of agriculture (USDA) makes the signs that are put in parks that say "Do not feed the animals. Feeding them makes them more dependent and they cannot fend for themselves". The same department also makes food stamps available. That department is happy to provide the record number of people on food stamps. People should be trying to better themselves. Many expect the handout. They do not try to better themselves. Why should they? They are given free food, a free place to live. That is wrong. Somewhere along the line the idea that this assistance was to help you along while you picked yourself up and made your life better was lost. That needs to be corrected.

Some people claim that they can do all of their computing needs. For some people this is true. For others it is an accessory to their computer. They still need the laptop/desktop to do most things. For others the tablet is just not going to cut it. The faster people stop buying the hype, and see as a device for what it is and how they can use it, the better.

I have seen too many people force the ipad into things that it is just not made to do. For example, They have a video conference system. Insteasd of using it, they use the ipad with skype. For a one on one call, no problem. For a room of 12 people having a conference with another room of 25 people? No, use the video conference system that is already in place. They propped up the ipad to show the room. We had a great view of the ceiling and the tops of a few people's heads. No faces. To top is off, they were showing slides. We did not see any of the slides. If they had used the video conference system, we would have seen everyone and seen the slides.

Some people have it in the head that is the answer to everything. They fail to see the device's shortcomings. This seems to be getting worse as time goes on. That or the hype is getting better.

I can record more if I add another tuner card. If I switch to digital cable, fios, or satellite I can only record 1 maybe 2 channels at the same time. For some reason the shows I like get moved all to the same night at the same time. The price has gone up and will continue to go up until the analog cable cost equals the digital cable cost. Then we will get a 'free' upgrade to digital cable. Which will allow me to do less then I can do now. For me it would be a downgrade to digital cable.
