It is possible that one day the imbedded chip under the skin would become law it may even come with a gps and auto feature that disables the user installed in it as well. But taht makes me think about the Bible in the mark of the beast and son on.With all the things you can buy unchallenged with a credit card there will always be a way around any security feature period.
I ve been a long time reader of Lessigs blog and beleive there is much truth in public domain being non exsistant in the near future. A great post by Larry. We need more public lawyers maybe even start a public defense fund that protects the American public. But like every fortune teller it is all in the eyes of the beholder for instance we could not make it any 30 years!!
The cost will always go up and continue to rise for secerecy.And new technologies and information will continue to be suppressed in order to keep the Government one step ahead of its own society and the worlds as well. The Government will always need more money and will always find a new tax or up a current tax in order to pay for and to hide it's secerets.
Went to the last one and going to this one. This year should be better than last years event {not that it sucked in anyway shape or form} but also with alot more people attending this year. Worth the trip no matter where you are.
I have waited along time for the release of the new OpenSSH 4.2 . I hoped they fixed the bugs and added soem goodies to this edition anyone here picked up a copy yet? I just hope it is everything it was talked up to be.

There is no doubt we need better security for internet users and companies that operate on the internet but hacking is not a state of mind it is a total sum of wrong or illegal actions.
It would make alot of sense that NVIDA is working on a next generation card! If a successes it will be interesting to see how much the individual stock shares willl be affected by these new devices {if they sold well} and what quater would they unviel these new cards in? You must have had to dig deep to get this news story.
They could charge an arm and a leg for the new ps3 and I would still buy it as woudl millions of other Americans. Sony has always made great gaming machines and I will no doubt pick up the ps3 when it comes out next year regardless of price.
Its very sad what has happened in New Orleans and my pprayers go out to all teh victims of the natural disaster. I only hop ethat if something like thsi happenns again our Government is faster to respond.
Hotlinking wastes alot of internet bandwidth. Pictures should change names every 2 days or so to avoid this problem. This could be written into current website creation software as a feature
I have the read the previous 4 edetions including one in German adn can NOT wait to get my hands on this new edition. I hope it jsut answers all teh questions the other did not. Just like software your book is only as good as its last publish
The patent office needs to consider the littleman who is using these tpyes of technologies and make it so the software you create is yours to publish like a video game and allow great technologies that better the internets experience for the internet user.

I beleive this is the start of many lawsuits between microsoft in former employees! I wonder what a whistle blower would get if he or she cashed in.
