Heh, unfortunate naming in the game (though I actually Twilight okay, so that didn't put me off checking to see what it was ;) ). I think to draw in more players in future, you may have to change the main name slightly!

I did wonder that. It's a good thing that pretty much everyone else in the world has the same attitude as me, and therefore it will all balance out, or if the concept of karma is actually a load of bunk (what a preposterous idea! of course it's real), then the fact that everyone else agrees and I don't live in America will also do little to hurt me.

I don't actually hate Americans btw, I just have found the attitude of many of them to be rather grating. It's not been so bad since 9/11, but it can still be seen from time to time. As a culture you're very self assured and outgoing, and my own culture, and personality, is anything but.

Good point.. the actual percentage of Americans that actually get upset that the rest of the world stereotypes them as arrogant assholes is probably quite small, owing to them obviously all being a bunch of arrogant assholes :)

Got to love the meta-humour, and once again I await with excitement the experimental results (ie, is my karma is going to burn?) - since this post says pretty much the exact same as my original, but in an even more flamebaitish manner!

"No response whatsoever" is completely different to "no verbal response". People may still be reacting without saying anything. It's like the "like" button on Facebook. People can like something but not actually say anything. I don't use twitter but I'd imagine it's different from a retweet. You might "like" when someone mentions that they just had your favourite breakfast cereal for breakfast, but you'd hardly tell all your friends that one of your friends just had your favourite breakfast cereal for breakfast.. I hope.

Except that there's no need to spy - it's not like they're being very covert about their actions and intentions. It's more like "Fuck you, I'll do what I want - I'm America! Americaaaaa, FUCK YEAH!!!".

When you're looking at a security camera you're generally not looking intensely at any one person unless they're already up to no good. I wasn't talking about staring at people. You get people who just like to sit and watch the world go by when they're bored at an airport or something. I can't say I'd find it interesting myself, but one of my friends talked about how he enjoys watching people when he's waiting at airports/train stations etc - not because he's looking out for terrorists or anything, or because he's creepy, just I guess looking at all their different moods, happy reunions, sad goodbyes, all that stuff. Probably just as interesting as all that "reality TV" crap anyway.
