Why not? We've had DVD, HD-DVD, and blu-ray.. no reason to believe that we won't have more iterations in commonly available optical storage devices.. thought I doubt we'll be using them for anything other than backups.. or should I say I hope we won't be needing them for anything else..
If you examine it's gait, it's just walking quickly. Almost jogging perhaps. It certainly looks nothing like quadrupeds do when they're actually running.
If it weren't at least a major consideration, then there would be no need for a PS2 after the PS1 came out,
As drinkypoo said, you're going too far there. The PS2 was part of the first console generation that could handle large yet relatively complex open-world 3D games without having to wait for new areas to load (basically, GTA III: San Andreas).
Games machines could still do with more processing power, but not just so that we can have prettier graphics. The interesting advancements in games these days are in areas like physical realism and destructible/modifiable objects and environments, rather than graphical style.
Why is anyone still asking questions like this?Graphical complexity is not the main consideration for most people. Look at the original Wii, or any mobile game (though even mobiles can do some pretty impressive stuff these days). The real question should be "how do the games available for Ouya compare to those of the other consoles"..
In case you haven'y noticed, worker bees vastly outnumber "bosses". I rarely take my laptop home these days, but my tablet is also redundant for me personally at work.
Having said that, I bought a couple of tablets for some of our "worker bees" out in the workshop. They use them for an app I wrote that lets them receive new machining tasks, and give live updates on production status from out on the floor. So tablets aren't just useful for PHBs and layabouts.
I mean that when you google, you start with a search term. You're directing the search. Even if you click through random links in wikipedia, you're still following a certain trail of links. In a library, you are surrounded by books, can just wander in a random direction, and find something completely unrelated to anything you may have even been thinking about. I know you can approximate that by looking at an online book store, but the library is much more likely to give you random new things, and you're able to quickly leaf through the books etc if you want to.
Btw I actually love reading eBooks, I'm just saying that the library seems like a good place to come across something unexpectedly interesting and educational. When I'm online I often end up looking at funny pictures of cats.
MOOCs are usually first year level stuff though, and in my first two years of Uni I didn't learn anything that I hadn't already picked up myself (okay so my dad gave me a couple of lessons too, but I got most of it from books, before the internet was available to me..).
Someone talking about some software I wrote when I was ~16 referred to it as working well, but "twisted hacked":p
It is going to help when new websites are forced to use IPv6 only. There isn't really a reason not to run IPv6 internally no, but I mean that nobody needs the amount of address space available on IPv6 for an internal network. So they could continue running IPv4 internally if they want (and only use IPv6 for browsing or whatever).
All modern operating systems support IPv6, since it's a software issue rather than a hardware one. So everyone can already do IPv6 on their local network.
What we're talking about here is IPv6 for the WAN interface on your router. Pretty much nobody should need IPv6 internally right now.
True, a whole lot of joint pain and posture issues are caused by overtight muscles. I had tight wrists and occasional pain for years from spending so much time at a computer, but I found knots in my forearm muscles near my elbow. It hurt like HELL to massage/stretch them out over the course of a couple of a couple of weeks, but I haven't had any wrist issues since then:) Switching input device every few months helps to stop repetitive strain too.
Bullshit, I was sat on my ass playing Skyrim for a month. Every so often I'd want to get some actual exercise and so went outside for a walk. I was planning ideas like this in my head because I thought it would be a lot more fun to combine the two.

Yeah, I thought that was exactly what advertising/sales do.
Nobody needs video games at all. I think you're missing something here.

Haha.. the weird thing is that I'm not sure if you're kidding.. I wonder what percentage of people actually know what that button does..?
Google and the entire Internet can go fuck itself -- it's simply not important compared to the Bill of Rights!
A lot of people outside of the US may disagree with that.. if you're gonna fuck about with it, we'll sort out our own primary DNS servers.. :p
When I'm interested in something, I Google it. Sometimes I do buy books, but Googling is generally a better first step than going to the library.
The library would probably be better if you have no idea what you're interested in, and want to find something completely random and new..

you're a dumbass who donates to make himself feel better, but who isn't bright or caring enough to actually do any research or follow the issues.
In other words, an average human being. This is totally the Streisand effect at work..
I would have thought single people to be the most likely to invent new ways of touching themselves

We're going to need another Timmy
The point he was trying to make is that NASA are misdrecting their resources. Not that this coffee is meant for the moon.
You've obviously never watched Antz
For that to work, there would have to be no bullshit on people's resumes..
So you pick one because of some subconscious factor, which you're probably not aware of
Like you're ever unaware of the cleavage.
So what you're getting at is.. there's a risk it will turn some of us into werewolves?
Yeah, it can't be the sitting all day glued to books or computer displays that does it..
