When I graduated High School in 1995 the only computer course we had were using Apple IIe's with some Basic and some Turbo Pascal programming. The funny thing is the Industrial Arts class had Macintosh Classic's and we were using Claris Works.
I have a Raspberry Pi, but now I'm more so sitting at the point of wtf do I use this for? I was originally thinking maybe some low power server to run a BNC or something small. Media player is another idea but I have enough devices that will play/stream media hooked up to my television.
Actually that would be a pretty neat idea. Sort of an online style baby book. But who knows the future of facebook. Though the parent comment was mine and I forgot to log in.
They also state the same thing for Firefox Home as well on iOS. Though I think the age on that is 18+ I can't remember exactly what it said the last time I updated it.
This is the reason why when/if I buy a name brand PC or laptop, I'll do a compete format and install from scratch. Screw the bloatware, if I were to use decrapify it or whatever the apps called I find that Windoze doesn't really work as well as a vanilla install.

"It's also worth noting that this doesn't affect 64-bit kernels for the very simple reason that they don't support 16-bit compatibility and so don't have the affected subsystem."
I have no doubts there are other exploits and flaws in my 64bit version. Just this one specifically affects the 32bit version.
Well the article says that Microsoft was notified of this bug June 2009. Guess they feel it isn't that big of a threat if they haven't patched it as of yet. But then again that's nothing new. Guess I'm glad I run 64bit.
I got my closed beta access, just gotta wait to get off work to download and try it. The only other game I'm excited about is the upcoming Lego Universe.
I found it's hard to find an intel chip that's best bang for your buck. I ended up going from a Athlon x2 6000 to a intel e5200 at the time was the closest in price. Though I wanted to build a hackintosh which didn't last too long. Next step is going back to AMD as I should have stuck with in the first place.
If they're running MSN Messenger you can always use the remote assistance feature. It has worked well for me in the past having to troubleshoot and diagnose friend & familys PC's. I guess the only catch there is they and you have to be running it as well. Not a solution if you're not running Windows and using that particular IM client.
red or blue pill... actually if it helps defend their systems then let them do it. As long as they aren't disconnecting me from the internet then fine.
I'm 31 going on 32, I've lost weight, but I guess if something that was life changing didn't happen to me I'd be fitting right in with that 35 years old and fat demographic I suppose.
After an article in MaximumPC magazine that reviewed several IM clients. I downloaded Digsby and when I went to install it I noticed all that crap they wanted to install so I canceled the installation and deleted the installer. I wasn't about to follow through after all that crap they wanted to install. Now I'm glad I didn't try it.
I agree we're not going to get rid of IE6 for a long time. Seems our IT department is very comfortable with it. Thank goodness for portable Firefox installs.
I as well found the gamecube controller very functional, even without too many buttons you can hit a combo of X+A or Y+A very easily. And I do agree the SNES controller was very comfortable.
So far it's been running very well. I would presume that they should be able to make something that will protect their own operating system after all they did code it.

My Linksys never resets when my power goes down...
And it all begins with AT&T blocking 4chan

Keep in mind that we Canadians are taxed to death and pay taxes on almost everything just for this to work.
All hail our Data Center Overlords!!
All Hail our amphibious elephant dung eating overlords.
I would give it preference if it did the job just as well or better as it would justify the costs of having to purchase liscense's for software.
