You buy a car, you get a good deal... but you can only fill up the gas tank at one of the brand's dealers. The car's low fuel indicator goes off when there is about 20% of the tank left and the car shuts off completely when 10% is left in the tank.

You get the car towed to the dealer for a fill up, the dealer drains the existing fuel in the tank, then charges you for a complete fill up at a price nearly 1/3rd the original cost of the car, resets the warning light and sends you on your way.

I was sent a link to Lewis Black http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G6yx_jJuoE/ ranting on Dick Cheney. After laughing my ass off at that one, I looked up other Lewis Black clips. He appears on The Daily Show regularly, so some of his clips are from there. So I started watching The Daily Show. Then I caught a bit of Colbert Report and enjoyed that too. So now Viacom has me watching two shows every night because I saw some funny clips on YouTube.

Refusing to allow your job, in any field, to completely dominate your life is key. Too often people get so wrapped up in their job they make it the most important part of their life. The people close to them suffer as a result. A place I used to work at would treat fairly minor issues with the crisis level of an ER during the LA riots. I was stressed constantly, my partner didn't like being around me and was urging me to quit the job, my mental and physical health suffered. It was only after I said to myself "Hey, we make low end white sheets, why am I getting all worked up over this?" that everything suddenly got better. Moral of the story, unless you work in an ER, don't allow your employer to work you like you're an ER doctor.

how much gas did he waste by driving around to different stores to do this article? It's rather simple: 1. Combine trips to stores. 2. Use the bus/public transit for work commutes. 3. Gas prices stopped bothering me once I got these habits down.
