Does that include OSX updates where Apple arbitrarily decides some models wont support the newer versions? They put in code to find which mac you have and decide if it will install or not. Then the cat and mouse games starts, where people figure out how to bypass the locks.
Having grown up in a "GM Town" for many years, let me share my opinion.
GM workers were terrible, they had a HUGE sense of entitlment, knowng they had union protection and could do almost anything they wanted.
The biggest concern from "management" where i lived was how can they fire the worst of the worst.
The Employees? If they were not bragging about how they will just "shut em down" if they didnt get what they wanted.. They were faking injuries to take the summer off so they could run their side job (landscaping).
Most of my neighbours were either drunks, or high all the time.
There is a "licensed' restaurant right by the plant. During lunch, they'd all head down there and get loaded up before going back to work.
There wasnt much you couldnt get "on the line".. Chickens (farm fresh), stolen merchandise, drugs of all kinds..
Most americans want to pretend China is an economic wasteland, and they are years ahead of them.. They prefer this comfortable feeling instead of reality.
" Who Has the World's No. 1 Economy? Not the U.S. By most measures, China has passed the U.S. and is pulling away. "
"They will force us into war, just like Japan did,"
Right..
As i posted before, you do realize they are approximatly 13,000 miles away right? If you dont like them, why not just not deal with them?
They have disputed islands (just like the US).. So what does the US do? Sail warships there to "prove a point".. I guess that is being "forced into war"?
why? why do you think it is your business what they do? They are 13,000 miles away from you, why do you care so much about their rules/laws?
Have you considered that some Chinese want some form of censorship? Think about hte US prior to wide-spread porn. Was everyone in favour? What about the people who were not in favour, where is their voice? Have you considered your own censorship? Go on TV and say "f*ck".. see what happens.
Try getting yourself a passport, and entrace visa and spend some time there...
Let me guess. Yet another person on the internet spewing whatever nonsense they want about China?
My predictions about you: - Probably do not have a passport, if you do, it has limited usage - you do not have a chinese entrance stamp on your passport.
Can you provide a few examples of china trying to "destory the west"? Want some examples of the west trying to destroy China? (hint, this article and many posts abou thte US tring to 'contain' china).
"they hate us" OMG.. are you serious?
one State-allowed child
You know they ended that rule a while ago, right? but why let facts get in the way of your nonsense.
PS.. they may have had a "one child" policy, but you had a forced sterilization program.. Seems the two programs are roughly equal?
" The United States during the Progressive era, ca. 1890 to 1920, was the first country to concertedly undertake compulsory sterilization programs for the purpose of eugenics.[72] Thomas C. Leonard, professor at Princeton University, describes American eugenics and sterilization as ultimately rooted in economic arguments and further as a central element of Progressivism alongside wage controls, restricted immigration, and the introduction of pension programs.[73] The heads of the programs were avid proponents of eugenics and frequently argued for their programs which achieved some success nationwide mainly in the first half of the 20th Century. Back in 2006 i got a mazda 6, and in 2007 we needed another car. I wanted my GF to get a mazda CX9. She didnt want to drive a japanese car (She's chinese) and went with a chevy uplander. Lets fastforward a number of years.
Repairs done to the mazda: Brakes Tires
Repairs done to the Uplander Hub Bearings (3 or 4, i forget). Brakes tires battery Traction control almost never works (the wire connecdting the speed sensor keeps getting ripped out??).
I got rid of the uplander a few months ago as the power stearing pump was failing. Mazda, still runs fine... GF now drives a lexus GX 460, i drive a Hyundai Elantra, kids still drive the mazda 6.
point of the story - I have a huge regret buying that turd of an uplander.
As a Canadian who has lived and worked in both the US and Canada for many years, your statement about "even Canadians" is confusing.
The only real substantial difference between the US vs CA that i was aware of was the shockingly low MAT leave, but otherwise things seem to be on par.
Plus if you do it amazon style with their "HQ2" proposal you can turn things around. Instead of you (amazon) shopping around, the states and cities will come to you with the varoius forms of coporate welfare.. you just get to select who wil give you the most.
If states really want to compete for jobs like this, we need federal laws to prevent one state from undermining its own people to "win" a "major HQ" which almost always employ far fewer people vs. the primise and the "investment" will also be a lot less.
whenever we have this iphone vs android debate it is inevitable someone will post apple's profits as a "sign of success". Yes, Apple owns almost all the profit in the cell phone market, but no, they do not own the number of units sold.
what does this tell you? People are willing to pay a huge premium for an iphone.
If you are proud to contibute to the "11.5 billion in net income over the last quarter' good to you. Xiaomi has a rule around limiting the markup on their products, Apple has the opposite rule, take as much as they possibly can.
I have this tablet, and it has been out for well over a year.
Asus ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M) tablet was launched in July 2016
But strongly agree, USB-C is where everything is moving towards, about time aple got rid of hteir "usb on one end, stupid on the other" nonsense (USB to 30 pin dock, USB to "lightning"... and the endless dongles)
If it has a standard USB on one end, it doesnt need a special apple-only connector on the other end.
Exactly.. What is the point of this? to go faster, so someone can try to go faster yet?
How about they try solving some real-world problems instead?
25 million pounds could go a long way addressing some of the real-world issues brits face (if they have a hard time figuring out what to do instead, just send it to the N.H.S.. i'm sure they can do somethign better then burn it up on a runway).
This.
why do companies get to do bad things, then hide it? If they were concerned around the public opinion here, why not do the right things instead?

Profits stayed in US of A.
that isnt accurate either.. The profits stay overseas so Apple can avoid paying US taxes, while maximizing US benefits they receive (patents, etc).

War Is A Racket
By Major General Smedley Butler
Good book..
Name a country the US doesnt have a military presense in.
I see.. it is is great the US does this, but not other countries?
name calling.. the last resort of a moron.

1 answer: yeah we should stop that.

How about Iran-Contra? This story is about iran trade violations... what about the US gvt violating its own embargo?

Let me guess. Yet another person who probably doesnt even own a passport posting negative stories about China?
Go back to FOX news.
what about all the japanese cars made in the USA? how are they still better vs a "american" car company?
My mazda 6 was like 80% "domestic" and even has a UAW sticker on the door.
what about japanese cars made in the USA?
Since everyone is sharing stories..

They seem OK comingling inventory and releasing counterfit products
I've been a victim of this as well:

Seriously right.. why not just ship it to Canada?
Hasnt canada already destroyed a lot of "weapons grade" plutonium?
http://publications.gc.ca/Coll...
why pay to burry it when we can safely convert it to electricity?
