Big rigs and trains putting out black smoke so think you cant see through it - No issues found.
Oil wells blowing up dumping thousands of gallons - No issues found.
Take your $3.20 a gallon price and tax it to the level Canada does and see what you would pay.
PS.
I remember filling my car in NJ in the low $2's/gallon and FULL SERVICE only a few years ago
While you are correct, unemployment/labour force numbers look good its the quality of the work/pay that is not (mostly low paying service industry jobs).
Its been covered MULTIPLE times as well.

First there was the green card
Then it got slow, bloated and hard to get.
So they invented the H1-B which was quick and easy.
Then it got slow, bloated and hard to get.
So they invented the guest worker pass
continue....
Just fix the green card and the others are unnecessary. If someone is a net benefit to the country, there's no reason to limit their stay.

Would you be able to point me to a google link where i can read the rules about the abuses that have been documented numerous times?
I'm actually Canadian so we have somewhat "special" rules under nafta.
Fine the companies who had the workers.
While not truly at fault, perhaps the burden should be with the one who pays the bills to ensure compliance with US laws?
Care to try the process now? YOu stated "back then when there wasnt internet access". I think the rules and regulations have changed since those days.
Perhaps the "green card lottery" would work in your favour?
Anyhow, for me personally i wanted to "try before you buy" and my wife ultimitly convinced me to relocate back home so no harm no foul.
I wonder how many people who are currently "trapped" in the H1B program?
Want my H1B number? Orignially went on a TN visa before getting the H1B (longer term, potential greencard path).
Yep, dont know what i am talking about yet you stated your original "corp sponsored one" failed before you went another path.
Did i say something about it being fair?
Have you ever dealt with the US immigration system? Its almost 100% corp owned, they sponsor you, should they decide to terminate this sponsorship off you go.
Its great to be a temporary worker and pay taxes, but not so great if you actually want to become a citizen and have a future there.
Let me see if i understand this correctly.
You dont have an appletv, but you are sure its because i have the auto update on (you stated its obvious).
Then i tell you how i managed to disable the auto update and you refer me to google?
You are correct, his problem was his kids. The point of the link was it contains instructions needed to disable it.
This is not the case with me and had you used google yourself you would see auto-updating breaking jailbreaks is a common problem.
By the way, did you read the CNET link you included?
"I'm not sure what caused the lone unit to set itself to on, but it's a good reminder to always check these settings."
Perhaps you can explain why my appleTV (2) has been updated three times since I've owned it even though i have never selected update?
Ever try to "undo" an update? They are encrypted and cant be "rolled back". Why is that?
Because sales people are always forthcoming even if its going to cost them a sale by describing the lock-ins?
"The purchase of the device can best be viewed as a rental agreement. Apple retains all ownership of the software and may restrict what you can do with the device after you purchase it".
Wrote that in a few seconds, i'm sure a "marketing/legal" department can do a better job.
You nailed it.
I actually have a few apple products (not many). The most frustrating thing?
After jailbreaking my appletv's to get XBMC on them they force upgrade and replace it. Now i have to wait for a new jailbreak to get it back on.
I dont recall agreeing to have my device force updated, no did i agree to have something i did (install xbmc) removed.
Its more like a rental arrangement, they seem to want to control every aspect even after they sold it. In which case perhaps i should only pay $5 a month for it instead of $129 to buy it?
Follow the money?

Does google host the files which caused them to get another DMCA takedown notice?
it seems to come with composite, but you can buy component cables.
Sure they have, the Chinese search provider even trades as an ADR on NASDAQ just look up BIDU
So the pink line which moved from 24 to 35 from 1960 to 1965 then remains flat, and actually dropped in the 1980's?
Or apply for a "temporary foreign worker permits", double your throughput and lower your costs?
Perhaps they are referring to Poutine?
Good stuff, but something best eaten occasionally.
The reason for the price difference between the US and Canada is due to taxes.
/gallon and FULL SERVICE only a few years ago
This sums things up nicely: http://retail.petro-canada.ca/en/fuelsavings/2139.aspx

Citation?
Most charts do not show this, for example: http://www.stanford.edu/class/polisci120a/immigration/Median%20Household%20Income.pdf
I dont know how many times that has been repeated but i'm not sure its true.
How come "median wages adjusted for inflation" in 2011 are at the same level as 1995?

How many lobbyists would oppose this proposal?
Timing is rather interesting.

They are outlned here:
http://www.canadiansinusa.com/Getting-a-Green-Card/employment-based-green-cards.html
Let me copy/paste the relevent sections for you:
*Canadians who qualify for an EB-2 green card must have an employer who is willing to file a petition on his/her behalf.
* Canadians who qualify for an EB-3 green card must have an employer who is willing to file a petition on his/her behalf.
Fine the companies who had the workers.
While not truly at fault, perhaps the burden should be with the one who pays the bills to ensure compliance with US laws?
Plus, one never knows what the arrangements were.
its a white collar crime involving a lot of money, no one goes to jail for this.

I think you are thinking of something like this:
http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/29970-disable-automatic-updates/
where you edit the hosts file to prevent it?
Are you sure this "optional" when the only way to disable it is via a hosts file?
Perhaps you can explain why my appleTV (2) has been updated three times since I've owned it even though i have never selected update? Ever try to "undo" an update? They are encrypted and cant be "rolled back". Why is that?

So if i understand this correctly i learn about these limitations AFTER i buy the product and open it making it difficult to return?
BB's finances were strong at one point as well.
