Dude, dude, dude!!!! Next time you post a link to a porn site, give those of us at work an indication that's what it is!!!! Damn, I am sure some red light went off somewhere just now....
The Stile Project is NOT a pr0n site. There is pr0n on the site, sure, but it's so much more than that.
Also good is rotten.com. I advise you to click this link at home, as it does have pictures of decapitations, dead people, lots of blood, and, yes, naked people (usually dead)
October 16th is my birthday, so this is kinda good news. I don't, however, think I'll be spending $50 on this. $30, maybe, $25, definitely, $19.99, I'll buy two. But not for $50.
I don't see anything of value here, so I'll add my own.02
I've got the Hauppauge WinTV GO! card. Works based on the BT878 chipset. This card goes for around $50 or so. Mono sound, but you can upgrade to better versions. Or, do what I did and pipe the feed into your Hi-Fi VCR and go from the VCR's audio out to your sound cards line in. Takes care of the sound issues!
The BT878 option is in the kernel tree, albiet quite hidden. You have to enable (IIRC) I7C(?) support, and then it is available under Video4Linux options.
Sorry I can't be more helpful as to what option you have to enable, I'm at my in-laws for the weekend, and have only built one 2.4 series kernel.
If you're going to be doing any video capturing, go for one of the more expensive cards, as the WinTV will only cap at 320x240.
No, that definitly wasn't the show, but I do remember such a beast! Don't remember what it was, however. Not 'Electric Company,' I don't think. I do remember it, he would sit there and spin those damn rolls of TP. Maybe it was 321. I'll have to meditate on it.
It was a show that was on PBS for quite some time. As I no longer watch television I can't say whether it's still on the air.
The point of this is that I clearly remember seeing just this device on one of their episodes. I was just as was described on this web site, but this show aired at least ten years ago, but I believe more than that. I believe that the significance of this is that it's small enough for kids now instead of just adults.
Freeboxen.com is not a place to donate your computer to. It's a forum so you can post your unwanted hardware in hopes that someone else will want it. Generally the interested party will have to pay shipping on it. Some people even refuse to ship, asking instead for a personal pick-up.
I've personally grown rather fond of Eminem. I never thought I'd like rap. Turns out I do. Amazing how tastes change.
My plans to humiliate Michael
on
Techno Jacket
·
· Score: 2
As the years rolled by, my sheer hatred of Michael for what he had done to my family's name came to a crescendo. And then, he himself let me know how to get my revenge, albiet inadvertently.
I broke into his house and stole to his bedroom. There, sleeping in his four poster bed, was my enemy.
I pulled the pillow from the other side of the bed, gently, so gently! And then I leaped upon him, pressing the pillow to his face.
A mightly struggle ensued. He beat at me with his mighty fists, and thrashed against certainty. But, as the outcome must be in my favor, his hands were like the fluttering of moths, and then they were still.
I opened the box I had brought with me, and pulled out the Levis(R) brand Techno Jacket I bought for this occasion. It set me back about 600, but worth every penny for this humiliation.
I dressed his corpse in the jacket, grabbed the box and left the house. I drove to a 7-11, and from there, used the pay phone to call the police. I gave them the sparse details, and then hung up the phone.
Who knew that the instrument of my revenge would be something he had clued me in on..."I wouldn't be caught dead in one of these."
I live a hop, skip and jump away in Brattleboro, VT, and didn't hear about this. I wish there was a central posting place about cool events like this.

"If I were you I wouldn't expect much from these guys in the way of well-coded English."
...you can actually here you stereo over your PC again
Including the part where he says but is not limited to this?
At least he didn't say "you're PC again." I hate it when people do that. It brings the voices back again.

Do you really need a PC for each player?
Not just to get into the technical logistics of playing Quake on a shared system, but this machine's MINE! And I don't wanna share!

Hope I've given some food for thought. Good luck!
The Transformers Robots In Disguise The Transformers More Than Meets The Eye!
Interesting. Now it would be cool if I could do that with my camcorder, or another web cam.
Interesting...you wouldn't know where to find those instructions, would you?
I've been looking for a converter. What do you use, and where do you get it?
Yee!!! That code was _very_ smelly. I've cleaned it up a but, shouldn't be any problems.

Hm...maybe it was the electric company. Like I said...I'll have to meditate on it.

Shouldn't the 't' in 'transmeta' be capitalized? Is this a CmdrTaco mistake, or did he just cut and paste the comment?
I've submitted this story on /. several times over the last few months. Rejected every time. Why does this get accepted now?
Freeboxen is a great idea, if it can get some 'customers.' Hopefully, now, it can get the attention it deserves.
Not knowing where the /. crew is, I humbly ask, "which MIT?" The Massachusetts Institute of Tech, or Michigan?

gratis.
I'm downloading it as I type this, although I don't know why. It's 5M on dialup, and I don't know what the heck a .ppt file is. Anyone?
That's particularly interesting...
