And we can refer to those things... as intellectual property. But apparently you get insightful mod points for rambling incorrectly about copyright law now.
I know that BT is used in many cases to distribute legitimate, legal content... but an article about BT protecting their intellectual property has to get a little chucle out of you.
Looks like it's been quiet for a while. Let's hope that's "in production" quiet.
It better happen in the timeline of the end of the Ghouls' lifecycle (so we can get one more helping of Harold). The WW2 mod for FOT:BOS can only tide me over so long.
Realistic damage, especially in the endurance races, would add a whole new level of intensity to many racing games. Games like Rallisport Challenge and (begrudgingly) the new line of Nascar, all add a bit of the Days of Thunder "rubbing is racing" danger and fun.
I am certain that Apple is letting this industry flourish because it is selling more iPods. Want an mp3 boombox? Buy and iPod and one of those sound docks. Want tunes in the car that don't suck? Buy an FM transmitter and an iPod. Outboard battery packs make iPod use feasible on long plane rides. All these things make more people want to fund the iPod industry.
Take a look at a lot of racing games... the reason that my personal favorite racing game (Gran Turismo 3) did not have damage in it was almost completely due to the car manufacturers' requests that they only present the cars in pristine, shiny condition. No body damage, no engine failure. Only worn tires... which are made by other companies.
/Ignore + usually playing team games = more fun for me. My old CS clan used to use voice chat extremely effectively.I don't want to hear voice chat as a taunt, I want to use it to flank cocky Rambo wannabe's in an open field.
The Average American gamer still goesn't have the stoic patience and fighter-pilot reflexes to tackle that beast. I was thinking of the acid trip Doki-Doki Panic re-sprited Mario 2. It's all about the turnips.
Precisely why I keep loading up on cheap Gamecube games... So when the Revolution comes out and I can only afford one launch game and an extra controller I will already have a library of games (plus whatever their classic game library cranks out).
If this happens, browser/box hijacking will definitely be a hotter commodity. AN you will certainly see a larger community of people writing better tools to unencrypt their neighbor's wifi key and let them pay for your Warez dl's.
Paper Mario games were a start.... but think of it... Nintendo makes a side-scolling Mario game that encompasses the scope (i.e. levels and level variety) of Mario 1-Mario world. Make it somewhat open ended.
You would crank it out in under a year. Keep the graphics simple, and incorporate some levels from the classic Mario games. People would eat it up. Sleeper classic. I'm still waiting for a real sequel to Mario World.
I used to abuse caffiene/sugar/legal stimulants. Now I have a heart condition and basically have to go to sleep by 11 every weeknight. And I'm only 22. Some of these people's chests must be time bombs.
The creators wanted to capture the angst and anger of the Westward-moving new Americans. Come on, if you shot 1200 pounds of Buffalo and could only carry 200 back to your wagon, wouldn't you be pissed?
There's one point in Fable with what seemed like 15 minutes of cutscenes in a row... each loading separately. After a pretty intense set of battles, I don't want to be bored into putting the game down once it's just gotten good. - Bad>
Bezerk for Dreamcast played very smoothly with hack & slash action scenes, and healing your numb hands with solid story. Being a fan of the show, it was cool that the game worked itself out to be an extra final episode of the show. - Good
Thanks! Your "level-grind" comment reminded me about my search for an mmog that wasn't a huge level-upping time hole (as I have a real job now), yet could be one on the weekends/insomnia nights. While FPS hasn't been my thing for a while... I could easily see the former CS/Tribes fanatic inside of me explode.
I want to start playing Planetside, as I've tried it at a few friends' places and I enjoyed it. Should I go for it now, or should I wait for this free grunt program thing mid-month to try it out?
I love big production style phones. I've got Sony, Tascam, and Bose ones... but I do a lot of street-crossing in my daily commute, and not hearing the outside world is dangerous. With ear buds in, and volume at a medium level, I get tunes and the ability to hear what's going on around me.
I've got a 4g 40 gig iPod, and it's useless at the gym. If the shuffle pricepoint was lower (as some earlier commenters suggested), I would totally get one.
So many people seem to be invested in the iPod family (husband/wife/kids/dog each have different one that suits their needs) that marketing the shuffle as a companion device is a solid idea.
Cats however... my girlfriend's cats seem to only like chilling to music straight from iTunes with the visualizations on. Kittens dig Brian Eno.

It's not available yet on any GMail account at my office.
Stay tuned for partial excitement.
LA-SAN/NAS
Is that near Mexico city? I think I've partied there before.

Next installment of Fallout, you say? Fallout 3 is certainly something I would love to see come to fruition.
I bet google would accept payments for sending to 100+ recipients on gmail

There is no patch for user stupidity.

I know it's ground combat... but will this re-ignite the dormant Tribes fan inside of me?
and I'm definitely cashing in my Target gift certificate and scoring this tonight.

Considering we're talking about the oh-so-chipper WMA/V format, they should be paying people to have to work with it.
