What may not be as obvious is that Mr. Obama appears to have a keen interest in using such technologies in the act of governing
I'm assuming Barack is not interested in setting up a facebook group for just members of Congress. I'll bet he will introduce legislation regulating these applications.
I am not interested in a nanny state. I want to be in charge of raising my children, not the Government.
You hardly need to spend $1200 to save your rig from the years-old consoles. Quad SLI is nvidia's top offering, not entry level PC gaming. A $200 card (and a $300 core 2 duo) can easily trounce anything the xbox 360 or ps3 can do.
I would like to see the list of games you can play without a motherboard, RAM, hard drive, keyboard/mouse, and a monitor. All things considered you are quadrupiling the price of the entry level Xbox360 for the machine you are talking about.
Plus PCs don't have the creature comforts of not having driver updates, not worrying about hardware compatibility, and being able to play from the comfort of your couch on a wireless remote.
HDDVD & Blu-Ray = XM and Sirius. DVDs = Terrestrial radio.
The adoption rate of XM and Sirius have been slowed because of the close competition. Many consumers simply could not justify the purchase of one over the other. I'm in this group, I would love to have a subscription to a satellite radio service but I liked certain aspects of each. This is very close to the high definition wars slowing adoption rate.
The difference is the same companies have stake in both current DVDs and their high definition counterparts. The longer the war went on, the more movie-makers lost. Terrestrial radio companies are upset because this could mark the beginning of the end.
So what mistake could one employee make to ruin it for everyone?
Your logic is faulty.
Traditional spyware and viruses will at worst take a machine down
Google is not targetted by 'traditional' viruses/spyware. The first hacker to take down their network, either internal or external facing, would be infamous.
A good programmer would study design patterns in their downtime rather than a new language. Learning the right way to solve common programming problems is far more useful than learning mindless syntax.
. I will be an outspoken fighter in the Senate for comprehensive national health reform. I want to make sure everyone has affordable health care, and that means doing the hard work of addressing the complex web of factors that drives up costs.
Many democrats now support socialized health care as reform. Would you vote for or against Senator Clinton's national health care bill?
The presidential election is almost 3/4 of a year away. Only a few months ago it looked like McCain didn't have a chance in hell.
Clinton is what she is. She has so many skeletons released from her (and her husband's) closet that nothing will surprise anyone.
She has stopped short of dragging Obama through the mud, however. This guy isn't as pure and churchy as his image portreys him currently.
There are documents from Obama's childhood listing him as a Muslim by his parents. As some know, any former Muslim who has converted must be executed per their "religion of peace" rules. He has ties to many dirty politicians in Chicago. He has supported organizations who have in turn supported terrorism.
Clinton is almost doing the Republican party a favor by not bringing these things up. They will look new in a few months.
In science class you were never taught that light is definately a wave, definately a particle, or definately both. School should teach the basic foundation, which is the combination of plausible scientific explanations.
Absolutely not. There is a reason why Hillary's universal health care bill is sitting out in Congress without a cosponser... it is too liberal for even Ted Kennedy to touch it.
If we have learned anything over the past few hundred years, we have learned that the more Government control there is the more things are screwed up. It is the exact reason our education system fell behind and is why our automobile industry is heading down that path (congress telling automakers what kind of cars they can/can't make).
Socialism is never the answer.
So, we're supposed to reject the nigh-universal consensus of climate scientists because a blogger tells us to?
This "consensus" is far from universal. There is plenty of evidence out there that global warming is a bunch of hogwash.
This article, which has been on Slashdot, disputes many of the so-called "facts" that many use to prove global warming.
You might want to let Hillary and Obama know they are fiscally conservative before they propose legislation to do something like raise taxes 20% to afford socialized healthcare.

Which led to a recession that was cured only by the Bush tax cuts.
If history tells us anything, if you want to invade France just do it whenever you want.

So, in other words, Obama will become president not because he is best for our country, but rather because he is black?
This is the first music I've paid for in 5 years. Wise up, sir.

This is why you aren't a democratic strategist.
Economies at the national level are always cyclical. This is true everywhere, not just of the United States.
It is ignorant to believe you can avoid all recessions. Economics simply do not work that way.
With the Bush stimulas package on the way, the economy should rebound nicely just like it did 6 years ago with the Bush tax cuts.
Naming a game "Scrabulous" obviously (court to decide) builds from the name Scrabble.
Would Scrabulous be as popular if it wasn't instantly recognizable? Probably not.

I'm sure bomb them is much higher on the list than hug them.
In this case I agree with him.
The poster reiterated comments made by Obama. If you don't agree with the comments, don't vote Obama. Don't shoot the messenger.

I can't read blogs, myspace, or facebook at work either. This is far from censorship.
This won't happen until suicide bombers fail to believe that 1,000s of virgins wait in the afterlife for them.
2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom... shouldn't the maximum efficiency be 66%? :)

You think adding the Government would help improve mapping products? I'll keep my tax dollars, thanks.

oh wait.
The study needs to listen to the endless stream of obscenities on Xbox Live after a Halo 3 death (me included, unfortunately).
