There is a theory now stating that childhood as we know it is a result of evolutionary forces compared with Homo Erectus infants grow very rapidly with a comparatively shortened childhood ~ approx 30% less. The longer the childhood stage, the more 'learning' occurs until the brain is fixed by the Homo Sapien age of 20 or around 12-15yrs of the ancestors.
Somehow I think that emotional neglect that may retard brain activity, learning and systematic growth is the polar opposite of the evolutionary trend that may change the direction of evolution.

This is typical of the care that I've found with google and their incredibly poor paywall selections.

Yeah exactly. I wasn't looking forward to jobs like that as most of the time they are hard to remove and sometimes the removal process damages core files requiring user data backup, reformat and reinstall. Pain in the arse that takes up hours + the inevitable forced MS updates. Vista is particularly bad at that as it requires SP1 to fully automate updates. You can never get paid enough to do that job.

  22. Re:Android Based Camera on Samsung Unveils Windows Phone 8 Device and Android-Based Camera · · Score: 2

I had a Samsung W850 on my short list a few weeks ago. I almost bought it but went with a Panasonic TZ30 instead (no WiFi) which had slightly superior optics and an easier to use GUI.
The W850 has GPS and WiFi and very similar specs to what you quoted. The Sony H30v also has WiFi etc and there's a few other travel cams out there with similar specs. To me, the android version of this phone would be nice to have except for the biggest downfall being poor battery life.
The current models of top end travel cams can only do around 250 shots, dropping to around 150 with the GPS on. It takes 4 hrs to recharge, so you need to spend more on a spare battery and maybe a cradle style battery charger as the only way to recharge is via the camera.
You can imagine how the battery would fare trying to upload pics and HD video with 3/4G! You might as well connect it to a computer when you get home, in which case you really don't need WiFi.

Something to do with Roundheads and Royalists in the English civil war. The Roundheads were circumcised (CofE-Lutheran) and the Royalists weren't (RC).
OTOH some ancient semitic covenant about chopping bits of your dick off to identify you as part of the In-Crowd is fucking stupid.
That, and with other covenants like not eating swine has been interpreted as basic preventative health measures - eg parasitic infection by worm eggs from partially cooked or raw pork and no available penis washing water in the middle of the desert. Now that's not bad for a 6000 yr old survival manual, but in 600 AD it all went pear shaped when it was deemed that all muslims are to wash before prayers. This washing was probably the worst thing since raw lamb pie as the devout would clean their nasal and sinus passages in the communal pool specifically set aside for this purpose. The diseases that spread by this practice are rife.
Today, we know better. As god/nature/evolution/lamark/darwin or my shaman intended, my dick is my own and no-one is going to chop off any part of it for any reason.
Also, 3rd world 'female circumcision' is not done in a heathy environment, but in someone's back yard with no anasthetics. The resulting healing can and often does restrict or even stop urination, ultimately causing life long pain and even death.
Think again before you take a knife to your new-born son. Don't let some 'physician' convince you otherwise unless there is a recognised medical reason for it.
