    Not true!

    Browser checking, as in, "User Agent String Parsing," should almost never be used, anyway.  You should object detection instead:

    if (window.XMLHttpRequest) { // Mozilla, Safari,...
      ...
    } else if (window.ActiveXObject) { // IE6 and less
      ...
    }
