Well actually, Windows has version numbers too but it is not shown to the user unless you ask for it (eg. winver), but to be fair, the version of the linux kernel is usually not shown to the user either unless you ask for it (eg. uname).
well I see my kernel version every time I reboot since it shows up in grub. Probably only a debian/ubuntu based problem though..
They should go with bluetooth. I mean I can transfer how many songs I want from my k800i to any bloody bluetooth device I want.
And bluetooth is available in far more devices than WLAN.
on the other hand. if you live in sweden u probably have between 8 to 1000 mbit/s.. and basically downloads the movie with about 1mb/s which equals about 6 hours.. (btw I've already got all the 7 releases..)

I think they've had a team developing starcraft all the time. Although it's good they keep it quiet.. otherwise it could end up like duke nukem forever =)
The RAM would be any threshold at 128 MB. I think many linux dists are easier to use and learn than win95 and as someone stated before it's a computer not a palm so CE isnt made to be used in the OLPC. I've only used ubuntu, but I think linux is the right way to go if you have a small HD.
I mean ubuntu fits on a CD. If they remove everything that isnt necessary (probably a lot since they have specific hardware) it wouldnt even be that big.

Try living in Sweden. The social democrats are actually working with two communist parties right now. Vänsterpartiet and Miljöpartiet. None of them believe in private companies. I can't stand it but I'm to young to migrate and I really think the blue parties (right wing) will win this election.

I'd say you could remove the cord between the pc and the speakers too. (Did you mean the two VGA cords?)
