If BootCamp takes off, I predict the already small Mac-native games market will wither even further.
...Which is a shame, because I really don't want to have to go out and pay ~£200 for an operating system I don't want just to play some games that I do.
If all that's true, you've also got the problem that Verisign/cronies are probably going to want to be testing this software before they give you a certificate - just to make sure it isn't doing something 'nasty'.
This is going to cause real problems to stuff like OSS that is being built in such a dynamical way. Fine for companies that release the odd update every month or so, but how the heck are you going to certify every nightly build?
Exile not-so-good, i thought. Too simple. It felt like they were just showing off their new 360 degree views engine rather than concentrating on the immersion and storylines that made the first two so good. Myst IV is better, though. Although, for me, Riven is still at the top.
Uru was a good concept, perhaps, but i don't think it worked. Like you said, all the Myst games are about being stuck on your own. They're better that way. You can never really communicate with any characters they put in properly - which was another thing that made III, and IV where it happened, fall down./haven't played V yet, but i'm not expecting...
There are two Discworld books; Wyrd Sisters and Soul Music
that have already been made into (animated) films.
They were pretty good!
However, as with many book-film conversions, but especially in Discworld's case, this reader's opinion is that nothing quite beats the imagination!
Actually, they can get a little smarter than that. A recent study at Harvard:_ phishing_works.pdf
http://people.deas.harvard.edu/~rachna/papers/why
showed up that, even seasoned users that should know better can fall for it.
Would you recognise http://www.bankofthevvest.com/ as false?

I wonder if I will? (no)
Hope you're wrong, buddy...
They'll never beat the ol' Spaghetti Tree Hoax of '57...

Apparently the supermarkets sold out for fear of a shortage.

I'm waiting on the Holodisc!
Here's to hoping they just concentrate on getting it to store stuff, rather than "protecting" it.
'til then, DVD does just fine for me...
GUYS! Stop giving them ideas, damnit!

Can't have multiple frags in one shot if it doesn't go all the way through!
If they go the way steam does, this shouldn't be an issue - you only need remember your username/password to your account.
However, this begs the question; what happens if their servers crash out? Better hope they keep backups...
Personally, I like my hard-copies

*vote for Jingo*
or perhaps a forward slash...
...followed by a full-stop.
at least some DRM files never previously worked in WMP 9 for OS X anyway...
Judging by their alleged previous use, probably LAME encoded...
although you can bet they'll be DRMed too.
Been following this one a while.
It's going to make an excellent comedy series one of these days...
The one that's more interesting!
(Who would read a boring newspaper? Well, some, but in general...)
