Yes, and Amazon and other stores will compensate for this by raising their prices. So either way consumers end up paying more.
And what about non-commercial sites? How can they be expected to pay for everyone else's access? Yes most sites make enough money from advertisements to get by, but if you dramatically raise the cost a lot of sites will end up shutting down.
Well, look at the bonus cards you can get a supermarkets. You sign up and they track your purchases in exchange for you getting a discount worth a couple of dollars every time you go there.
Seems that phishing has replaced spam

Spam is Dead

I mean my one gmail account gets a lot of spam, but it's the account I post online, so it's pretty much expected. All of my other accounts are basically spam-less, though I get maybe one a week total.
The real problem is phishing attacks - I get three or four a day. For everything - ebay, half, paypal, hell even Amazon which I've never gotten before this winter.
More bike paths would be fantastic - they certainly made biking (and by extension, walking) around Berlin much easier and safer. However, the problem is that streets in cities cannot be make any more wider since there are buildings on both sides. There is enough room for two lanes of road and sidewalk on both sides, that's it.
Not always. Sometimes the file size can go from a few hundred KB to two or three megs, which is more than a bit, especially if you're putting the images online where they will be accessed by people on dial-up. Also, for some things like photographs, lossless compression isn't always necessary. So while PNG would make a good fall-back option if JPG wasn't available, it isn't close to a perfect replacement.
Isn't this like what happened with GIFs?

JPEG Patent Challenged

Didn't the enforcement of the GIF patent lead to the development of the (generally better, in my experience) PNG format? If we suddenly can use JPGs freely, then somebody will come out with another, possibly better, format for everyone to use.
Nice, pleasing, round, no sharp edges to catch your shins on
That would be true, except for the two horns. Granted, they aren't sharp, but you could probably put an eye (or two) out if you ran around while holding that.
Perhaps you should not assume you know how I feel about wiretaps. I put the word upgrade in quotes because like all hardware upgrades, it'll cost the company a lot of money. However, unlike typical upgrades, the move from non-compliant hardware to compliant hardware does not give the company any return on thier investment. That's it.
Speaking of warrenties, can you leave your warrenty to your decendents? Because if not you'll get a warrenty that covers less than 1% of the claimed lifetime of the product.
Can't speak for every laptop selling site out there, but a lot of non-US sites that ship internationally have an English version as well as thier country's language(s).

And this is radically different than politics in any other state (or country for that mattter), how?
