It can be observed that this is disproportionate relative to the 1.8% of the U.S. population that declare themselves Jewish, but this is not recommended.

I think that you should be careful about posting this sort of thing - in case people believe that it is in any way representative of the facts.
I'd rather post than mod you Troll or Funny, because your sentiments are not a million miles away from those being pushed by US popular media, and there is a real danger will people begin to think they are true unless nipped in the bud.

To be clear: the concept of World Trade is not compatible with protectionism.
The US has taken their ball home - not liking the impact of globalisation on a native industry, they have withdrawn said industry from their free trade commitments.
And to suggest that the EU, India - in fact every single other member of the WTO - is promoting "unscrupulous" behaviour is breathtakingly arrogant.

Myself, I consider 575 million US dollars to be remarkable riches.
Dropping 20 million bills on a space holiday - that's a remarkable amount of disposable personal cash.
Bootstrapping Ubuntu with $10 million out of your own pocket - remarkable.

The way I've heard it, "Diet" versions of soft drinks are more likely to cause the onset of Type-B (adult) diabetes, through their containing aspartame and other sugar substitutes which can in the long term affect the way you process sugars.

Who knows? There's a warning on all drinks that contain a source of phenylalanine, in the UK at least.

    How about the United Kingdom?
What you call "the lobby system", we call "cash for questions" and it is a crime.
Most recently, where there was any question that money may have bought political favours (the cash-for-honours scandal), the police pulled in Tony Blair and half his cabinet for questioning under oath.
Sadly, I think many Americans could not even imagine the police questioning Bush over the Rove affair, or misrepresenting facts to the UN, or any of the many other scandals I find it difficult to keep up with on that side of the pond.
There seems to be an attitude of once your representatives have attained a position of responsibility working for you, you cannot countenance them being subject to the same laws and checks that you are.
And as for whether the US would ever invade the UK, I don't think the Chinese would give you permission.

Poor by U.S. standards is no doubt rich by global standards, but by European standards you are probably starving.
In Europe, at least, $200,000 (or £100,000 if you prefer) is a living wage. By modern banks metrics (being prepared to lend you 3.5x your annual salary for a mortgage), £350,000 to spend on a property in London will buy you a 1 bedroom flat if you are lucky.

Wherever you are, would you pay half what it costs to own a box room apartment, to fly to outer space?
Of course it's all relative, and an unfair comparison, as there is no social infrastructure in the American societal model and consequently any "salary" figure is considered differently according to whether you expect to pay for education, healthcare etc. out of your earnings, and how much you expect to be taxed.
