I am really sick and tired of people say that Bush and his rodeo are "suddenly" recording every phone call in the country. If you really think that Bush started doing this, than you are an idiot. I mean come on. They have been filtering EVERY phone call in the country for DECADES!!! I mean like from the 70's. They have been checking and recording all phone calls in the country if certain key words get used so that the conversation can be review by a person. Any time you say good phrases like bomb, president, and stuff like that, your call gets recorded and flagged. I don't care about it cause I love this country, and I don't think that the president is that bad(FLAME TIME).
So grow up, get over yourself, and realize that you can blame Bush for everything.
What about if I am not from Israel? Then this has no reference to me? Also, what this is showing is that the diety's name is Lord and he is given the title of God. And that he is one of the Gods.
Just my interpretation.
All knowledge has the potential to improve the quality of life. Some would have questioned if space travel would have benefited us in any way, but look at all the things that the public has gained because NASA had to invent something.
And the better the understanding the world has on the way things interact also improves the chances that our decisions will not have unforseen consequences.
Personally, I say let them have at it.
Sure, I love physics and astrophysics, but I would rather voluntarily give a few hundred greenbacks a year to a private research company
I don't see anything that is keeping you from VOLUNTARILY giving your money to any group you feel worthy.
Again, you are only locked down as tightly as you choose to. With wireless and a laptop, you can sit outside all day and enjoy the weather, work from the local cafe, or numerous other options.
But what percentage that take the bus, rail, or car could work from home? And those that could would reduce polution and traffic even further. If they had to run less (or smaller) trains, less busses, and less cars, it would only help everything better.
Cars enforcing minimum safe distance would be great. It seem every morning, one of the freeways I take to work is backed up because several cars following too closely behind one another are in an accident. blocking a lane in an already overloaded freeway. Why? Because somebody doesn't want to wait in line for the interchange ramp and squeezes in at the last possible second with mere inches to spare. this causes the person he just cut off to overreact....
So what your saying, is that you belive that the cars that monitor safe following distance has the ability to make sure no one gets cut off too? I mean sure, maybe one or two cars avoid the accident that way, but one schmuck can still stop a freeway.
None of these features would keep any of these things from happening. The answer is to promote telecommuting so less schlubs are on the road everyday.
It amazes me when people try to act so smart, and then make a error like using the word "air" instead of "err". If you can't tell the difference between those two words how can we really think you are competent enough to talk about Nano-sized technologies.
I am confused. You say that what was claimed, wasn't. But what was claimed was that human beings have little control over the green house gases.
It seems to me that the article stated this quite clearly. They stated that water vapor was the greatest issue in greenhouse gases, and that humans can not control that. In fact, even if you say that humans are responsbile for ALL the other factors, we are still only at fault for a few percent.
Seems to me that this was stated clearly.
The point is that you are teaching the TIVO to do exactly what you want. You only have to do it once and you get the functionality you want. And it seems to me that this is more flexible because I can set it to any setting I want, not be locked into 30/20/10 or whatever interval of seconds that company has set for me.
What makes us assume that we are pirating the software? Is it not possible (mind you I didn't say probable) that they are actually upgrading their system? Where does the customer agreement state that they can't use it on a new computer as long as it is not on any other computer? Maybe they are actually removing it from the old system, or maybe their hard drive failed completely and they are taking this opportunity to upgrade their system. Does this qualify as piracy?
Not sure that anyone cares, but it is Aeronautical Radio Navigation (108-117) and Aeronautical Mobile (117-137). Also 138- 150 seems to be in the satellite range.
So there you go. Maybe they are really created by russians so they know what the american satellites are doing. i.e. not falling outta the skies.
Except for the fact that who in their right mind would think that they would sink your boat from hundreds of meters away with a shiny light. It would be a completely unexpected tactic, which is the best kind.
Actually, if you read the story. They weren't moving at speed, the ships had been brought to the limit of bow range, and were holding at that distance, so most likely, the sails were furled as anything else would move the ships more than would have been desired.
I may be a lowly computer programmer in the company of engineers and such, however, can we at least get the terminolgy right. The Earth rotates on it's axis, giving us a day. It REVOLVES around the sun, giving us a year.
Now I have to agree with Philski here, if it was the sun moving around the earth, the days would be consistent, even if the revolution wasn't cicular. Therefore, the difference of day length, does tend to indicate that the Earth REVOLVES around the sun.
Why are we worried about cooling with no air, when there is no atmosphere. Anyone with a bit of science knows, that air SUCKS for cooling. The only advantage is has is that there is a LOT of it. But if you do a quick google for the surface temp of the moon you might find this line... "A typical non-polar minimum temperature is -181 C (at the Apollo 15 site)." I think at that temp we don't have to worry about cooling anything. Just can't use it during the day.
And how are you going to use a "low-tech damp rag" when the high temp of the day is over 100 degree centrigrade. For those who aren't in the know, that is the boiling temperature of water. So good luck on have a damp rag. Or any other bright ideas that involve loose water on the moon.
Water on the moon will either be frozen or evaporated. You pick which one.
Everybody seems to forget the rules. They were made for manufacturing, and therefore it seems people forget that they also apply to programming. After all, what is programming if not manufacturing of a piece of software.
The rules are:
1. Cheap
2. Good
3. Quick
Pick any two. And the reason that this is a rule is because it is not mutatable. It is solid. It is in fact, a law.
Guilt is irrelevant, and a person should not be able to be sued unless there is proof that the weaknesses were created intentionally.
