I think this inequality will further increase as technology progresses. As robotics, and automation improves (especially with the improvements in A.I.) less and less people are going to be employed. The wealth generated from not having to pay workers is going to flow up to the 0.01%.
While the lawyer might of told you it was not worth it, it doesn't sound quite right. It reminds me of a situation where my cousin was fired because she was pregnant while she was working as a security guard. She went to a lawyer in that town. He said it wasn't worth it and would be really hard to prove. She didn't think that sounded right, went to a different town and found a lawyer who said yes. They prosecuted and won.
Any leeto would realize that the only place for a truly undetected rootkit is at microcode level. To acomplish that you hope that the designers of the chip where human and left ample room to play with. A code cave is such no matter what level of abstraction you implement the ability to change.
Also the job of the goverment is to serve it's citizens. One of the reasons the system is so broken is people no longer understand this. The power of the goverment is derived on the rights relinquished by the people to the goverment. Thus, the people only do so in that the goverment serves the purpose of expressing the will of "The people".
Well, I for one am all for personal freedom. However, I have used them in many occasions and as such do not have the facade to run for office. A person who expresses thier personal freedoms, is for the most part not very congruent; that is necessary for the political machine(at least the appearence). So while I view america as a place where every person has the unalienable right to life liberty and the persuit of happiness, it is unlikely I will be ever elected to an office.
I'm sorry but I usually love pop sci references. This one is horrible, theres is nothing of merit in it, I can see the tech through "pop" sources, but I always thought of this mag as different. I feel so let down:(
There is already a shortage of woman to geek out over things with in this field. To use a phrase I heard on discovery , "They are hunted to extinction". I don't know about everyone else, but having a 50/50 class would be nice in college, it makes "studying" so much more fun
My experience has been that intel does provide a more durable chip while amd is always a budget chip. I would rather find a way to overclock an intel than deal with amd's already pushed values. Quality control of the two are way different.
If you need to count sponges because they are left behind sometimes, then what you should do is remedy the problem by developing sponges that will breakdown in the body. Not a system to count them.
I think that many are forgetting that modern technology is more complex than it's predecessors. Even with great engineering practices, there are many more components to todays gadgets and as such it is more likely to fail. This is an inherent property of any system where complexity is involved.
Ok, so know we have found a validation to jung's idea that introverts(which he percieved himself to be) are somehow more evolved. This what the article is stating. The more brain energy as a result of internal operations is better. Forget the idea of difference being good. Forget the idea that introverts work on an internal world, and extroverts an external (locust of control). If you are not an introvert then you my friend are out of luck. Meh, The whole point of extroversion vs. introversion was the very idea that while different both where usefull.
It becomes so very apperent the people who read about the scene, and the people who do it, and/or at least know enough to ask for more detials. After reading through various posts, it was somewhat easy to pick through the people who read about reverse engineering. Mostly the choice of tools, and attitudes they had reflected the general material about reverse engineering. Also I found the "I need mores" which I describe as people who don't wont to guess. "Tell me exactly what you are doing, and I will tell you exactly why I don't know that", is thier general war cry. However, reading through the posts; There where some really insitefull ones, (this not including the people who said, "If you have the souce, how can it be reverse engineering?".
