I disagree.. this "idiot" cleverly parlayed an unpaid internship 'firing' into fame and notoriety to get noticed and then hired by a security company; you can't buy this much press even on a Harvard tuition budget. He had a bigger plan all along, and will be hired by a firm in the area of his interest.

Such a firm will be smart to do so. And they will not fail to capitalize on this new hire... they will highlight that one of their employees, [begin bio and / or press release] "...recently made international news by demonstrating a critical security / privacy flaw in FaceBook's messenger application, a flaw that potentially affected hundreds of millions of unsuspecting at-risk FB users".

There is an entire parable about this in the Bible, in Matthew 20.

The gist is: fuck you, you earn plenty, stop griping about others getting a slice of pie.

FALSE. The parable involves hiring people to do the exact same chore but more importantly is intended to address the attitude of 'long time faithful folk' feeling upset about the new converts getting rewarded with the same afterlife as those who walked the walk on Earth much longer.

In the Price story -- he hired people to do different chores and then blindly rewarded them all equally without regard to difficulty, experience, effort, and so forth . A mistaken theory... and the publicity that he sought has not offset the consequences.

If this was not a publicity stunt, they why didn't he just do it without alerting the media?

Hollywood Agent says: We will represent you but you got to do a few things. Top Hollywood agents will kick you out if you refuse to work, they are paid on commission. Plus, with Agent Uber you can "clock out for vacation" any time, every 30 minutes if you like. And you can always continue with Agent Lyft if you are unhappy with Agent Uber.

Or quit acting altogether, it is optional.

Nope. Acting agent has an exclusive % contract, the actor agrees to it expressly. A good agent offers lots of benefits and perks, spends lots of dough to keep the Tom Cruises on board, maybe 6 figures per year if necessary in limos, dinners, trips, and goodies. They could let Tom pay all that, but it's good for business as an agent.

There is more than one UBER -- other big agent in town is Lyft.
And give it time, if business is good, just like in early Hollywood other agents will appear -- as they have already done in China and India.
Uber actors make direct contact with customers like the movie actors.
Actors have exclusive contracts with their acting agent whereas Uber agent is more lenient, non-exclusive, can also work for Lyft.
Good actor has a large amount of work available, just like a productive Uber actor. Uber filters out and rejects customers too, just like a smart agent.
