    Piracy does exist on MMO's, you can get server's which run an emulated realm and you can use an easily downloaded client.

    congratulations for inflating your ego, but I really could care about spelling/plurals/etc.

    Basically all i wanted to do was add some input into the discussion, if you really feel the need to attack me on my english skills then you really need to use that intelligence for something more constructive to the discussion. Your whole attitude is quite poor, more so then my English skills.

    but then you leave out the demographic that cannot afford University but can afford vocational diploma's. in australia at least uni would cost you 20-50 grand, diploma's cost a few thousand. if you're from a disadvantaged background, you will miss out with your elitist attitude, even in uni degree's you will have people doing it simply for the $$$, and you can get quite a few people in the vocational diploma's that have just as much skill, drive and determination to become great artists, programmers etc.
    A $50 000 course does not guarantee an increased affinity in the subject area, only that they have financial backing from themselves, their family, or scholarships.

    Not to mention many people self-learn the various skills for the job's in IT.

    *This is disputed; some historians/geneticists argue that the people were largely neolithic settlers and celts, while only the ELITES were supplanted by a few percentage ruling settlers from the continent in succesive invasions by romans, angles & saxons, vikings, normans, etc. so the romans got their tier 4 and 5?

    and with a defeatist attitude like that you only reinforce the silly stereotypes.
    there are many women that will date nerds/geeks, however nerds/geeks usually have a more shy nature about them and not enough courage at the time to go talk to a fine, beautiful woman. if they did try and had some self confidence in there speech, dressed well, they'd be able to get some fine ladies.

    In Half-Life (the original), wasn't your first wave pretty much head crabs? You start with single-pop enemies and work your way up to the harder ones. Same for weapons. They start you with the pistol. You don't get the BFG9000 until much later in the game. It's oh so obvious you dont step outside of rpg's. Congratulations on making the DOOM fan's cry at losing even more to Half-Life

    there is one positive side effect of piracy i can think of. you might have some poor guy that can barely afford a pc, has just enoguh scratch to get himself a nice lil pc, he gets software packages off the net, learns how to use them, he's just trained himself into being able to use a variety of software packages that normally he wouldnt have been able to do due to money constraints, then he could use those skills to pickup a job and start to earn some cash to pay for things.

    punching is one thing, the most hurtful type of abuse is emotional/psychological. it's hard to prove this to a court that it goes on so it can't really be punished as easy as seeing bruises from a fight.

    as they say, phsysical wounds heal quick, psychological ones take along time.

    This will give rise to more independant films, that can work on cheaper budgets and also explore various avenues of creativity, vs the time old blockbuster mould that seems to be pumping out multi-million dollar productions.

    Work will always remain, the industry will adapt, even with 80% piracy there will still be a movie industry, someone will always have a camera and want to direct. They'll learn to do more with less.

    sadly these issues usually go unnoticed, but i have many friends who've been abused, society loves to sweep it under the rug.

    it's sad that the victims blame themselves, i could only hope that society would learn to talk about these issues more and try to give the victims the love and care they deserve.

    DVD porn already makes women look substantially worse. Google around, I'm sure you can find an adult film company talking about it. Flaws that you wouldn't even see on VHS are going to look like another orifice in HD. So they'll need another guy on set?

    With all this new technology they are creating, they are still creating seats that for the most part, aren't increasing in size like the average population.
    comfy sized seat + leg room would be a dream, specially if you are a person of size (not just overweight, but large build etc)
    they are making planes larger, more economic, but still cramming everyone in like sardines

    it's VERY unlucky to be stung and die from a stingray, they don't actively defend themselves, so it most likely just swam past and accidentally flicked him.

    i live 200km South of where it happened, makes me realize how much caution you need around the wildlife of the sea.

    Would you rather them perform street abortions, which killed alot of the mothers?

    Abortion is here to stay, it will always be around, it's best to have it in a decent medical enviroment to provide the safest way to do it, then let mothers bleed to death from the 50 buck guy down the street.
