Researched Mike: (holds up cute puppy) We can threaten to kill this cute puppy if they pirate stuff!
Sony Suit: EXCELLENT! (pets cute puppy) Woo's a cute puppy-wuppy! Woo's gonna die to pwotect our intewests!! Oooohh!! Sooo cute! Yesyouare!! Yesyouare!!
Thank God... now I don't have to feel bad about killing all those kittens every night.
If they don't want to cater to their customers, stop using their service!
Good point! I was just thinking to myself how much I hate Dominion Virginia Power because they can't seem to keep my electricity on all the time in good weather and they have pretty bad customer service.... so I think I'll just stop using them.
....when the deal first happened it would be different but now that Novell has communicated that they didnt' want the IP clauses in it and they actually want to make MS and Linux easier to work together....
I dont know which would scare me more: Novell turned to the dark side or Novell failed to read and understand the agreement they were entering into.
The problem is that companies that become comfortable with the income they get and just accept the fact that their software is full of holes. Are people forced to use Windows? The same can be asked about eBay and Myspace and any other huge website. Sure, I can post my item on Yahoo auctions or the other various auction sites.... but then my item doesnt get seen by a huge number of people. Myspace is a great example of complacency. It's a horrible functioning site that has had no updates since Tom sold out to Newscorp..... BUT, if I want to network with *ALL* of my friends at the same time, what other choice do I have? Sure, I can use Orkut or The Wal Mart Soci... oh yea.... but you get the point.
If I walked into an office and told them they needed to pay me cause there's a possibility the place might get robbed I'd be in jail so fast it would make my head spin.
Isn't this pretty much what MS has done here?
First the viacom shit and now this! I remember a few months ago utube.com saying about how they liked getting the free advertising.... not in those words, but essentially. Jon Stewart and other comedy central personalities FREQUENTLY mentioned how youtube.com had boosted their viewership.... Then, google buys youtube and now all of a sudden, its trademark and copyright infringement. Next, anyone wearing any clothing with TV networks' logos on them will be immediately imprisoned.
Furthermore, Google has already told the US Government to fuck off.... If these companies want to play this immoral games why in God's name would you do it to Google?
Of course there is! Just do the calculations on an Intel Pentium processor. After all, being the first processors to come up with a solution to dividing by zero, you're sure to find the number your looking for.
Recently your company has requested that YouTube remove content under The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998. While I respect that you may own the copyright to this content I am choosing to no longer view content from Comedy Central.
Approximately 4 months ago I found content on YouTube for The Daily Show and, as a result, became a regular viewer of not only that show but various other programs on Comedy Central. I had very little knowledge of The Daily Show until I viewed content on YouTube. Since it appears that Comedy Central does not support this type of content nor accept "word of mouth" advertising I feel as I am being told that the way I found your content is not acceptable.
I appreciate your time in reading my concerns and I hope that it will shape the future for both an enjoyable industry for consumers as well as profitable for content providers.
Does anyone have a mailing address for Comedy Central? Seems they dont seem to care if anyone wants to talk to them since I've spent 10 mins on their website and can't find ANY contact information except web forms.
If anyone has an address can you post it here? I will definately be sending them a letter.
Hmm, i might have to invest in a huge usb hub then....
Nonsense! The Sony version only needs to be plugged in once. Once it installs "software" automagically, there is no need for it again.
Sometimes when I'm stuck in traffic, I pick up XM/Sirius broadcasts on (locally)-unused FM frequencies because people with wireless FM transmitters are leaking signal for around 10-20 feet around their car.
RIAA lawyers knocking on your door in 3... 2... 1...
I like the niche targets... For example Christian Ubuntu. When you target a certain audience, it makes people more comfortable with something new. The thinking is "hey, these people do the same thing we do so it must actually work".
Apparently the the head of commerce has found a way to unclog the tubes. Now when chineese haxors put their message into the internet it won't be delayed.
Subsequently, the name of this release is being changed to "Debian Forever"

No. The same security update would also break Office's compatibility with itself.
I'm confused.... Wasn't windows and office update designed to break stuff?
"W3C XML Schemas (XSD) suck"
Eventually I dont even see the code. All I see is blonde, brunette...... and the woman in the red dress, of course.

Did you have a degree in rocket science?
The same people that play the latest and greatest games?
Sorry, I'm not a gamer. I've been holding out for Duke Nukem Forever.
Piss off every performance-oriented computer user on Earth
Who uses Windows for performance?
....The problem is, none of the players have a clue how to do it right.
Are you implying that they have a clue in any manner?
The A in AT&T stands for American.... You don't exactly see GT&T do you?
You can't Google Microsoft.... well, I guess you could but it's not safe if any chairs are around.

Damnit! We better break out the lottery balls and round up the horses.... If nothing else clogs the tubes, that will!

However, horny 20-something guys are more mature and realize the best targets
Let's ask this guy first.
First it was wrong to be "Googling" something. Now perhaps we all need to quit "Firefoxing" things?
