> So your assertion is that somehow buying bits in the form of music and videos through iTMS is fine, but buying bits in the form of software is not? What is so special about software that it should be excluded?
It's completely different. Why would you go to iTunes for Games? It doesn't fit the model.
You could start that TV shows don't fit that either, but those two are very similar. It's something you'd have in iTunes anyway, just video.
iTunes does not manage software on your Mac. It never has and it never will. So, it's non-intuitive (and therefore, not mac-like) that iTunes would sell software.
- Integrate software purchases into iTunes. ITMS is simple and ubiquitous.. expand the scope of the store to include software, and you could guarantee good sales for small developers.
No. No no no no. iTMS is for media. iTMS is not for software. Bad, bad idea. Bad bad bad.
If games by small developers is what you need, extend Made4Mac to have a better games browsing site, fine. iTMS is for music, videos, and the like. It's not designed for selling software, it shouldn't be for selling software. iTMS is not for software--I don't know what else to say. It's just not.
It's like this: I start a restaurant. Our specialty is pasta (music). Later, I add meatballs (videos). You can also buy wine (iPod) which easily goes with the pasta. I'm not going to go and sell furniture now.
On the contrary, it gives us some excellent opportunities as programmers.

Just tried calling my cell phone on it from my old Powerbook G4 Ti @ 500 Mhz with OS X Tiger. Works -excellently-. No activation or anything needed to my account. Downloaded latest version, ran it, and it worked right "out of the box".
What a horrible way to introduce people to firefox! As for me, Google's toolbar comes in handy when I'm forced to use IE, But firefox's google toolbar seems...weak.
So, Apple is planning to let windows apps run natively in OS X.. but not like WINE, an implementation of the Windows API, more like... Apple's own Windows API Implementation...You see the difference? Yeah..thought so.
Dell bought Alienware.
Apple is using Intel chips and the x86 architecture.
Mac OS can now be hacked to run on intel whiteboxes.
Mac hardware can now triple boot (Windows, Mac OS, Linux)
In recent tests, AMD Athlon X2 Intel Core Duo.
Microsoft is... well, pretty much the same..
So I'd say anything is possible.
> Conventional production involves dissolving a catalyst, such as sodium hydroxide, in alcohol, then stirring it into vegetable oil in large vats for about two hours. The mixture then has to sit for 12 to 24 hours while a slow chemical reaction forms biodiesel along with glycerin, a byproduct.
It mentions a byproduct in the conventional method. Am I missing something, or does it not clarify whether or not this new method produces a byproduct?
Besides. My sig is irrelevent to the point of my post. I was posting concerning the security of paypal's new service, not anything to do with the offer I have in my sig.
Guy: "Hi, sir, Could you help a poor man out and let me borrow your cell phone for a quick moment to call my family? I'm going to be late for my daughter's birthday."
Me: "Sure, here you are"
Guy: "Thank you kindly, sir.."
Guy: *transfers cash to his paypal account, while pretending to have trouble figuring out the phone*
Guy: "Ah ha!" *after having transferred the money and pretending that he finally figured out what to do*
Guy: *fakes a call to his pretend family, while actually calling his voicemail*
Guy: "Thank you sir! ^__^"
Me: "No problem! ^_^"
This'll be fantastic!

Yes.
What a good time to buy Apple.
Anyone else noticed it spilled quite a bit?
That was your only reason for switching to Win98? ..Wow.
"Do not eat iPod Shuffle."
( Don't get it? See this portion of a screenshot of an old Apple website page. )

Slimy electrodes, anyone?
I think this case just came a few years too late.. had this come before AMD64 hit it big, and I might think differently..

Yeah, this was definitely all over the colbert report already.

So, about 25% of Americans are "intellectually curious".
We must remember, these are ADD-diagnosed depression-suffering obese Americans.
I'm thinking about half this number thought the question was asking if they were curious what the word "intellectually" meant.
