Or the headline might have read, "unlicensed designer charged for breaking Oregon law about use of title, identified the flaws of a professional engineer's design in traffic light system". Let's face it, when something is crap and it is proven to be crap who cares what title they use.
I am pretty sure it was the lack of in this case. Even if a power surge happens, PDU/UPS pretty much handle any power related issues. This sounds more like someone was dinking around in the data center and pulled/shorted the wrong wire(s). Even if this did not happen, PDU/UPS equipment was designed to prevent what happened, so yea it WAS AN IT PROBLEM.
Yea, they do have a tendency to ignore the mostly left slanted news. A new business model for them would be for them to have a Drudge Right and a Drudge Left. Somewhere in between should be the answer everyone is looking to find.
Those were jobs already on there way out. In other words, who cares. If they outsource the entire Silicon Valley it would be a boon to the US and maybe wake up the rest of California.
From what I am getting from all this is: THINK FOR YOURSELF. Don't follow trends, don't believe the hype of the media, if it does not follow common sense than most likely it isn't worth spending time on. If you believe be in it, stick to your beliefs. If you want companies to control the information that you get, then you deserve everything that comes to you.
Do I want an internet that is neutral to content? Hell yes! Do I want it as a public utility that will get bogged down with a bureaucracy? Not only no, but HELL NO.
Reality: they will write this off as having a bad day and continue with them getting their multi-million bonus at the end of the year. In other words, nothing will change.
If they work as designed, they will probably be outlawed as they specifically interfere with police body cams/patrol car cameras. Just my guess though.
VoiceMail is useless anyways. If someone really needs to get hold of you, they will call again.
Agreed. While it's original intent was a benefit when first introduced, the abuse that is now evident makes this feature useless. I would actually consider this as an equivalent to email SPAM, which would require by law an opt in/out. Unfortunately some laws are setup to default to opt in and they should be the opposite.
But really, there are means to control every mechanism they put in place if you really want to remain anonymous. Do I care about the facial recognition, meh not really. Wait for it, in a couple of years when holography comes into play and facial features can be distorted with ease.
Just because you can do something does not mean you should. You know, ethics. This was always a question I would ask in an interview to determine not only what the programming skills are but also the ability to recognize right from wrong. You would be surprised just how many people just do not understand the concept. Much like yourself.
So he is not a state licensed engineer. Okay, got it.

Let the flame wars begin!!!!
Typical response from a liberal snowflake troll. No one cares about your opinion anymore.
OWN THAT!
You have already done that with your previous posts. I am just striking back.
Ouch, I felt the heat from that burn from here.
Those were jobs already on there way out. In other words, who cares. If they outsource the entire Silicon Valley it would be a boon to the US and maybe wake up the rest of California.
There it is. I was waiting for the typical response from the Intolerables.
No it was our management and executives who blocked us from hiring who we wanted.
No contest on this one. H1B is broken and wide open for rampant abuse.
Are you kidding? Who was the other candidate that actually had a lengthy Death List? Hint: It wasn't Trump.
Do you understand compromise. HELL NO.

WHAT????
I think that pretty much says YES, they must do the governments bidding. At least in this instance.
Or by adding features that the majority did not want.
There in lies the problem. There are those who do not want a "Team America".

They dropped the "don't". Or even better, the red circle with a diagonal over the word "don't"
Haa! I ride a bicycle! Another tracker thwarted!
