  1. The one and only time it happened to me they restored everything including guild bank and all toons. The only hassle was all items were restored to the mailbox so you spent a couple of days putting everything back where it was. Since an authenticator was added, zero hacks. None of my Blizzard games have been hacked since the authenticator, but that may change sometime in the future.

Hassle?, very little compared to what happens when you get hacked. Really the only disconcerting experience was logging on naked in the middle of nowhere.

  2. They have been doing this on WoW for about a decade. Two phase authentication? Access control list by device?

Bullshit, that is just fiscal irresponsibility at the state level. The federal subsidy allowing State and Local taxes to be deducted from the federal tax puts the burden on the taxpayer to the lower tax states for the out of control spending of high tax states.

  11. Nope, Stalin was definitely not right wing on anything. Not only societal was he on the far left, so was his economic standpoint. There was no free market, personal liberties were non existent.

  12. Ahhh, nope. Left can be authoritarian just like the right can. It depends on how you look at it. It is the social or economical spectrum.

  13. Neither am I. I am just stating what needs to be done. We need more people who have not been corrupted by the DC establishment.

The question is how did a private company get a copyright on tax payer funded research. Who granted the copyright for data that was payed for by the tax payers? Well, it is the political establishment in one case that is trying to tie the hands of NIH funded research in private companies that required them to publicly release findings. Both Rep. and Dem. congress critters are introducing legislation that will remove this requirement and restrict any other agency to enforce this requirement. In other words, they will be granted a "copyright" to the material and we the people paid for it.

And there in lies the problem. Just because easy public access is requested should NEVER mean that any device or application does NOT follow common security methodology? It should have MORE security measures due to the fact it is public access. You can setup public WiFi without providing access to critical internal systems. You can segment networks to allow access to resources you want to made available. There is no excuse for this to be happening other than implementing sloppy security or utilizing insecure devices or both.

This would be different from a majority of the companies and some government networks... how? Security has always been an after thought for most companies as it is deemed too expensive. Maybe the hacking will escalate the costs to a point that they will start paying attention to it a little more.
