Having the website blocked is a clear message. If an employee is caught using a proxy to bypass filters, then he should be reprimanded or fired. He knew that the company didn't want him to go to that website and yet he went anyway. Its defiance, disobedience, whatever you want to call it. No need to go to such great lengths to actually block it.

There is like 4000 Quads of Uranium in the Earth's crust. No worries about supply.

As far as radiation goes, nuclear waste is far more dangerous than fallout from nuclear bombs. Nuclear bombs give off isotopes with short half-lives. If you are around when one goes off, you are fucked. But you can show up at ground zero a month later and radiation levels will only be slightly above normal, and well within safe limits. Although, it does depend on the effeciency of the yield and some other things. Bikini Atoll experienced multiple H-Bombs and to clear it we had to wait 15 years AND clear the top few feet of soil off the entire island. But that was because of the ineffecient fusion design couples with sheer number of explosions. Smaller tactical nukes are practically harmless as far as radiation goes.
Nuclear waste on the other hand is radioactive (although less deadly) for millenia. We have to make sure it stays where we put it.

All these new video cards ONLY have DVI output so why do display manufacturers continue to support VGA?

When I was searching for a new monitor I settled on a Tyris 19in LCD because it had DVI. I hate those adapter things, they always feel like they are going to snap off those pins.

What are the limits to DVI? I was reading about displayport and it read like it was pretty limited.
