What has ICANN messed up. My Internet got delivered yesterday =) Seriously It's about time that the government quit trying to control ICANN. I just hope that other nations China, and other censoring countries don't take this as a sign to try controlling ICANN. Maybe ICANN isn't prefect, but it's a heck of a lot better than most governments in the world.
Ummm...
I don't follow you.
1. I buy the ad space for a flashing "CLICK HERE!"
2. Yahoo gets $1 per click
3. Yahoo "loans" the ad for $0.50
4. ect.
5. Billions of ads are found on millions of computers, where some people click on them.
6. ??? Everyone understand?
7. Profit!
Yes some get auto-clicked, but, that is most likely not significant.
Thats the best I can make out, and it looks like Yahoo made money, so QUIT COMPLANING!!!
This is the chain of events I see:
1. Google gets involved in music.
2. They sell good music at $0.50 a song.
3. Millions of Google-loving geeks buy songs, and tell their friends about a legal way to get cheap music.
4. Google revenue increases, millions of users quit using other labels.
5. Artists, seeing that the way to sell music is to sell through Google, switch labels.
6. ???
7. Profits for everyone!!!
Now I don't think having one company in any market is the best thing for the market, (think Microsoft) but at least this might get the music industry moving in the right direction, (we can do the same thing for the movie industry) and it will hopefully crush the RIAA
Well the war was almost won at that point, so they likly knew that it was low risk. After all, Germany was cornered, and Japan was retreating at the time of the tests. Therefore, I expect that they knew what they were doing.

Well companies microsoft could make the computer start behaving, I know we have technology. But then the question is, WHY NOT HAVE IT WORK RIGHT IN THJE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which is something everyone here at/. should be doing, standing up in their communities for what they beleive in. Standing up for our online rights for example. Sure the only legal thing we can do directly to stop the restrictions of our rights is using our brains when we go to the polls. But we can also use whatever influence we have to educate the public and motivate others.
And we need to start doing this BEFORE it is too late.
But there are two possible solutions. A) an organization or individual purchuses portions of the spectrum and either donates or premites access to the spectrum, or B) Everyone pesters their congressmen with letters begging for an open free-use area on the spectrum.
I don't know, but there is the remote chance of one or the other happening.
P.S. If anyone has more information on this please post, so everyone can get in on it.
Well bear in mind that the ePaper is "supposed" to serve advertising purposes, so the expense would come from are most likable advetising department. They have a fairly large budget, so...
Yeah, anytime the boss isn't looking. =)
Hopefully ICANN will refuse bribes.

I have to say I agree. Religions can peacefully coexist as long as the government does not support any of them. Citation: USA
The problem is when the government confuses not supporting any religion with supporting the absence of religion.(atheism)
Thank you for the good advice.
Now, on the other hand, he only got modded a freking ONE! I mean, come on this is a +3 Informative at the least!

Not to mention the unfathomably dumb way you chose to spend your money...

The point is, it's a step in the right direction.
Heck, if it keeps up I might have to move there!
Thank you.
I say lets forget the stupid EU.
I move to ban all EU imports to the US, and save consumers the danger they pose to us.
All in favor say 'aye.'
Oh No! Google is contaminated! Help! Help!
I don't mind Google looking for profit, but they MUST make sure that they never lower their standards.
(This will likely happen anyway, but hopefully we will have prepared with a Google repacement.)
