Reminds me of those expensive Sega CD and 32x gimmick. The reason why it did not take off was because it was insanely expensive. Wonder what how are they going to price this?
$300 (core) + XX (value of HD-DVD drive) = very expensive (so far)
I'll wait and see
Anonymous... nice.
1) Its a crappy and short game
I doubt you actually took the time to sit down and play it out otherwise the "short" part would not have come out.
2) Gummi Ship
It is not an important part of the game but serves as a link to complete the game experience. You would notice that the ship reinforces the story line even more so (the story that there are multiple worlds out there and to save these worlds you would need to lock its heart). Though I grudgingly agree that this part of that game I can do without.
3) Battle Mashing []
You did not play the game in its entirety so your reasoning that the only way to win this is through mashing the square button is wrong. You are unaware of the many combos within this game and that your teammates do actually help you with the right configuration.
4) Horrid experience
Why again?
5) My advice to you (Anonymous Coward)?
Go play your Halo or DOA XBV
Agreed indeed. Halo was fun indeed and I like playing it. But like most FPS.. it gets a bit boring after a while. Saw a video once about a boy who kept on yelling and swearing at his online buddy everytime he got fragged (playing Halo online) and it was hilarious...
The video was dubbed something like the "Stress-Box":P
But then again... 360 is not only about Halo 3 - or am I wrong to assume this:P
DOA3 was big? Did not notice that friend:) I always thought that the best fighter out there on the Xbox was Soul Calibur 2 (which happened to be on all the other consoles as well). The DOA series, though having a great concept with regards to the arena, lacked innovation with regards to combos and all. Rather repetitive if you ask me...
And comparing Zelda with Halo is, IMO - so wrong. There's plenty of room for tweaks and changes in an action/adventure/platform game. Zelda is indeed a good example. Wind Waker was so different in the look and feel department as opposed to the dark feel of Ocarina of Time (same series for those not in the know).
But Halo... How different can Halo 3 be from Halo CE & 2...? New weapons? Vehicle? Halo fans might find this interesting though - Halo 2 is being released on the 360

I do agree that Fable and KOTOR are great titles. I personally would like to see True Fantasy Live Online be released on 360 (or any other consoles).
Its not about control. Its about finding a solution. And the problem with this solution is that it reeks of half-bakedness (and thus - giving the world a picture of their rather moronic and simplistic thinking). This solution in the end will create new problems.
This is just plain stupid.
Xbox was indeed the superior platform for these launches. But keep in mind that the xbox came out almost 1 year later than the PS2. There would be a certain amount of advancement in technology compared between these 2 boxes. But despite the difference in power, PS2 continued to perform well. I would love to see how things pan out this time around. It would be interesting to see whether or not can the xbox hold a candle against a console that comes out later than it does.
There's also a number of other PS2 exclusives like Ratchet and Clank, God of War and Jak series. Not to mention that most (not all) Final Fantasy series, Metal Gear series are found (and/or will be found) on the PS. Xbox had a number of amazing exclusives as well like Ninja Gaiden, Project Gotham Racing and the DOA fighting series (not XBV) aside from Halo, Halo and more Halo. Fable had a great promise and I would like to see how will they expand on that promise/idea.
though I have to admit that the likelihood of me waiting for the PS3 and passing off the Xbox 360 first is very likely. A matter of preference I guess:)

Hmm... did not know you could put the word "secure" with Microsoft in the same sentence. Now I do ... = )

How is it down the hill? From the sales it generate there are still people clammoring for it.
